Don't pass this place without stopping! The little bar exterior is hiding a nice bar / supper club experience onside.

3 strikes, and you are out! I have been gladly giving this establishment business, along with recommendations to others for years. That stops today. Called in a order for 3 for my father’s birthday. I asked questions 1st on what is available and if they served a dinner option - to be told “yes”. Went to pick up the food only to have met with very rude, extremely poor customer service bartender explaining I cannot get the dinner I was told I could on a weeknight (Train your staff?).
They made it anyway and when i got the food it was two teaspoons (literally) of “clam strips” that was actually tiny pieces of breading with no clams for both dinners.
Every other time I’ve ordered, you received 5 times as many full sized pieces.
I was charged full price for all 3 meals. I sadly regret leaving a tip. I made the mistake for asking for lemon and told it’s for the bar only. Fries were soggy and the coleslaw usually delicious, was hot and mushy.
I am a local, and love to support local businesses however “The Woods” will never see a single penny from me or my family again. This place USED to be warm, friendly place with great food. What happened!?
Please folks, save your money and go ANYWHERE else. Plenty of decent food joints around far superior. 0/5. Avoid like the plague!

Great place!
what a great surprise that we could order a pizza at 5p on a Sunday! Thank you so much Theresa for a delicious pizza! You and Lisa rock!
Visited for the once per month breakfast. Everyone in my party (3) all had a delicious breakfast. The server was friendly and the food was delivered within 10 minutes.A great breakfast spot (once per month) in a small town bar/restaurant.

All the great specials of a traditional supper club in the warm and welcoming confines of a classic Wisconsin tavern! Friday and Saturday nights shine here, but great food is available the rest of the week as well. Our party had no trouble finding their favorite styles of beer, and there was a healthy selection of fine liquors to concoct the cocktail of your choice. The main room and the rest rooms were clean and well maintained. When weather permits, there is a very nice patio that allows a great view of the Wisconsin & Southern rail line that runs from Madison to Prairie du Chein. Great place to stop for locals and vacationers alike!

Portions were ridiculous for the price paid. I understand inflation, but good grief.
I don’t leave many reviews but the food here was one of the worst we’ve had. Service was good but that was it. $7 curds and this is what we got, burger was pink inside even though I say extra well done. All of it was Super soggy and cold. we live in town and waited at the bar so food should not have been cold in the minute drive home. Asked for fried fish, got baked. This place has been recommended by many to us but we would not recommend to anyone.

Very busy place on a Saturday night, BUT the food was excellent! Friday night is fish fry, and Saturday night is prime rib night for this place! There are many other selections to be had also. Even VEGAN options! Great bar burgers, chicken, and don't forget the fries!
VERY casual dining in this later 1800s to early 1900s building with high ceilings. In fact, you can still see the original ceiling and decorative design from the original build! Old lighted beer signs decorate the walls among other photos and pictures of days gone by.
Leave the ball gown and tuxedo at home. This is a hometown tavern with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. See you there soon!
Parking: There is plenty of off-street and street parking available.

The food is outstanding, but the service is extremely inexperienced. Not sure if they were all new but it appeared that way. We will come back again because the food was so good!
