It started out great with Kurt the bar tender. Attentive, friendly, quick with good drinks. A 5 for him. The tour guide was also a very solid 5. From there it went down hill. Food wasn't very tasteful. The younger server was extremely unimpressive. Very unattentive and forgetful. Forget 3 items that we had requested. Never checked in on us for anything including the drinks we wanted that the hostess got for us
Had to get our own to go boxes even before we waited 25 minutes for our check. I get they say they were missing one waitress but...everyone is and others aren't this slow and you hear it so much I get tired of this excuse especially on a Tuesday night.

Little Bohemia has been on my bucket list for several years and I was finally able to try it. FIRST: you must call and make a reservation. If you don't have a confirmed reservation you won't be able to diner here.
The vintage atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The history is very cool. Little Bohemia was in the movie Public Enemies because the FBI had a shoot out with the prohibitionist John Dillinger and his gang. There are still bullet holes in the walls and broken windows from the event. The escape car is on the property as well. There is a lot of history from various memorabilia on display.
Some of the food was excellent. We ordered duck and New York Strip. The steak and shrimp were very tough. The duck was very good. The chicken wild rice soup and cheddar broccoli soups were fantastic and The rosemany au gratin potatoes were outstanding!
The green olive spread and pea salad served on the relish tray were top notch. The rolls were not hot or homeade.
Next time I would order the Pork Schintzel as that is one of their signature dishes.
Although we arrived at 5 and it was fairly empty, the restaurant became pretty busy. They were not staffed to handle it which is typical these days.
I would go again and try a different main dish.
Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp to the front door and the parking lot has handicapped stalls and has no steps to the sidewalk for easy transition.

Server was excellent! Atmosphere was wonderfully unique. Food was great, except our shrimp was a little dry- but we'd definitely return!

Bartender was not very friendly. Sadly kitchen was short staffed and we were told we could not have an appetizer in the bar due to that. Hostess was helpful and kind. Had live music which was Amazing!!!!! One man band...he was super.

It was fun but so crowded in bar due to class reunion. It would have been nice if they had separate area for drinks before dinner so others not part of the group could enjoy the place.

We visited to check out the whole John Dillinger thing, and I will say that unless you're very into history/old gangster stuff, this is pretty much your jam. It's literally an old hotel room with a hundred bullet holes in it, and some adjacent rooms with the whole collection of news clippings and articles about Dillinger.
I'm not a big history buff, so for me it wasn't a draw really. But the food was worth going back for, and honestly it's pretty wild seeing that many bullet holes in a building, and they still didn't get the guy.
Having visited the place, it got me interested in the story and it's a wild ride, very interesting guy.
If you're a history buff or just looking for a very good meal, I recommend it.
Heads up, they serve a very unusual supper club style dish. I won't describe it, so you'll be just as surprised!

Ok. A bucket list trip. This is where many of the Gangsters back in the day hid out. Dillinger, Public Enemy movie was shot there because there really was a shoot out with police! Very historic. Many artifacts, even a wall with the bullet holes! The setting is absolutely gorgeous! That's the Atmosphere... Unfortunately, we were unaware that reservations were required, after 200 miles to visit. We arrived at 420. Went inside. Bar open. I don't drink. At 450 the hostess showed up. Was rushed. Rude and informed more than a dozen couples... Sorry. No soup or supper for you! No reservation, we can get you in at 8 PM. 4 hour wait. So. We left. Watched a dozen cars leave and nobody came in... So. Those reservations were at 5? Well. We were looking around the grounds till well after 5. No other cars. At their prices, likely $600 to $800 turned away. Since the host was such a rude person, and did not offer any of us a table, I can't tell you anything about the food. This place has a LOT of seating. Open 3 hours in the evening. I am sure had we waited the 4 hours plus, the food would simply be what's left or ? Sketchy way to operate a business. Especially when only a few will want to enjoy the history. I am a SR. Gen X . I know the story but 10 more years, nobody will know or care about Little Bohemia!?? Why be rude? If your nice. I would recommend people come visit and enjoy historical events and fine food? Maybe? I will never know how the food is, but if it's like the host. It's sour.

Had dinner last night. Our server, Patty, was friendly and attentive - smart, witty, and engaging! She made sure our entrees were just right. Food was delicious - but restaurant was sold out of a few things. Cool history. Would definitely return. 😎
First time there (September 2024), I love the rustic look & feel. Only reason I gave it 4 for food is because they were out of a couple items but we were there later in the evening. Our server Patty was top notch, friendly and attentive even though she was running around like crazy. Prices for drinks and food was more than reasonable. So much history in that lodge, if only the walls could talk.
