Best donuts I have ever had in my life hands down! Every time I bring them somewhere, people are quite literally enchanted! The outside of the donut has a very light crispness... The inside soft and slightly chewy. The crisp to chewy equation is perfection. The code is broken in this recipe. History has been made! Now, let me tell you about the buttercream frosting... How do you manage to make it so mouthwatering???? I don't know .... I don't even care. All my relatives from out of town look forward to getting these donuts while they are here at my house! It's... Expected. If I were not to get the donuts for them while they were here, they would think that I hated them. Was when I was growing up in Chicago from the hot donut trucks that traveled around downtown. I'm not even sure they have those anymore!Just do yourself a favor ... Try them!

This is the place to go for baked goods in Manitowoc County. Their crullers are the absolute best! Their buns are the perfect complement to any burger. To top it all off, their customer service is beyond compare.

Bakery On State is an absolute gem. As someone whoâs been to countless bakeries, I can confidently say this is the best one Iâve ever visited. Everything they make is always fresh and delicious, itâs obvious they put a lot of care into baking their stuff.
I love apple fritters and have tried them from McDonaldâs, Kwik Trip, Piggly Wiggly, Hartmanâs Bakery, and many other places, but none of them even come close to the apple fritters at Bakery On State. Theyâre sweet, tasty, fluffy, and only $1.75.
Their donuts are also phenomenal, super fresh and irresistible. And their sourdough bread? Itâs to die for. I canât get enough of it. The kneecaps are another thing that's usually on my list because they melt in your mouth!
Beyond the baked goods, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and makes regular customers feel acknowledged and appreciated which is nice personal touch.
If youâre in Manitowoc and havenât been to Bakery On State, youâre missing out. Itâs a must-visit!
