Mixed feelings about this place. I go to Manitowoc occasionally, about once a month on average, and never heard of this place until I saw it listed in a "10 Best Breakfast Places" type Google search. Decided to try it and may or may not return. I was impressed with the decor - old bank building perhaps? High ceiling, marble & gold touches, very clean, and I loved the background piano music - very calming and non-stressful to enjoy a meal. The place wasn't busy at 7:45 on a Saturday morning, and there appeared to be enough staff, but the server I had wasn't very attentive and never asked if I wanted anything else nor refilled my beverage. The food came fast - I had the 3-Meat omelet. The omelet and toast were good, but the hash browns were very greasy, unappetizingly so. Didn't look like they used butter to cook them, more likely that "liquid gold" that some restaurants use. Lots of it left on the plate after I (nearly) finished the has browns. Anyway, I want to give them another try, perhaps for lunch some time. I vascillated between a 3- and a 4-star rating. Those hash browns were a real turnoff.
Nice restaurant and very good atmosphere. Interior Designs are pretty and it’s bright.Staff was friendly and polite.
Dali’s Cafe was a wonderful find on our trip to Manitowac! The food excellent, the staff was genuinely kind and patient (5 adults & 5 kids were in our party), while being efficient and quietly attentive. The space is lovely, as it is converted from a formerly stately & ornate bank.
Lovely family-owned restaurant in an old downtown Manitowoc bank building (and other previous occupants) with soaring ceilings and lovely decor. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Fairly extensive menu and the food is very good. The place was quiet for lunch one autumn Saturday and hopping for breakfast one November Saturday morning. They have been minimally staffed with usually one? Server each time and the chef sometimes bringing food directly out to be served. This seems to be a bare-bones operation from my observation but many places struggle with staffing, or maybe it is by design? But I always felt attended to. It is not a place to rush in and out of, so if you are in a big hurry, be sure to mention this to them upon being seated. I also like that they post a sign offering anyone in need to come in for a cup of hot soup and a breadstick, which is a lovely gesture in this day and age. It is definitely a great place to meet friends and not feel rushed, to sit and read your newspaper while you eat, or to just take a breath. Highly recommended!
We stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning in May. Wasn't super busy. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was cool, too, since the building used to be an old bank.
We stayed over in Manitowoc while hiking the Ice Age Trail. Having breakfast at Dali’s was a big part of our fun weekend. They were quite busy when we walked in, yet right away the waiter/host gave us a friendly greeting. The ambiance reflected the building’s banking era, with gilded pillars and high ceilings, yet with a warm sense of welcome. The food was delicious. What impressed me most was a sign in their window inviting those in need to come inside for a cup of hot soup and breadstick. Warm hearts to go with their warm, friendly cafe.
Always are treated exceptionally, the service is fast and friendly, prices are great and the food is phenomenal. Truly a hidden gem! Highly recommend.
I do not like to leave negative reviews but hoping the cafe takes this feedback and makes changes. We attempted to have breakfast here yesterday morning, we were seated promptly. That is where our experience ended. We sat for 35 minutes without being offered a water or coffee. At one point we had notified a waitress that we were ready to order, her reply was “I am not a waitress I am just helping.” She could have at the very least brought us water/coffee which she did for other tables. After wasting 35 minutes we got up and left and let the waitress know how terrible the service was. Her reply was “I am the only one working & doing the best I can.” Another table within earshot piped in saying, “we have been waiting 45 minutes.” My suggestion is, only seat the amount of people you can serve in a reasonable time frame or be upfront & let the consumer know that it will be a longtime prior to being served. I understand places are short staff, but, honesty is the best policy.
Very friendly service and staff. Great atmosphere and environment. Low prices/charging rates. Very tall ceiling.
This was our first time here. We stopped at another place nearby. It was a long wait. So we saw this place so we checked it out. So glad that we did. Beautiful place inside, it used to be a bank a long time ago. The staff was very friendly. The service was good. Only one waitress, she did an awesome job. They were busy. Our food was very good.

Very nice, friendly, family restaurant. Great steaks, salads, and breakfast offerings. Place is an old bank in very spacious building, COVID friendly, and is clean and modern in every way. Should be No. 1 in Manitowoc.
Fancy atmosphere and wonderful food choices for very reasonable cost. Service was great also. Breakfast and lunch only. Some day we will go back for lunch to see if it is as good as breakfast. Deserts looked really good too.
Good food and service but was disappointed in the portions. I ordered a skillet and it was the smallest skillet I’ve ever had and I eat skillets often.
