Always fantastic food and service
The waitress made us feel unwelcome from the second we walked in. She rolled her eyes at my 13 year old daughter when she asked if they had creamer to make a dirty soda.
They had no ice! Our table of 4 only got 2 forks and my husband and I had to use chopsticks. I had to eat a $25 soupy lobster mac and cheese with chopsticks. Super annoying. Our waitress was so hostile we were afraid to ask for anything.
We stopped in to Ryan’s after a recommendation from a friend. A very simple order of 3 burgers and a Poutine special took about 40 minutes to prep. The waitperson would not allow me to order grilled onions on my burger although it was featured on another menu item. That should have been a hint. The Poutine was pretty bland with cheese curds that were cold in the middle. I overheard the table next to us complain about the food delay so the waitperson took their drinks off their bill. The burgers were not very good.
After we paid, one of us asked about the slow food service and our waitperson said that we make everything from scratch and this is not bar food!
Indeed!
I encountered 3 EXTREMELY rude employees, including one that told me to “move”, my husband and I decided to take our business elsewhere, so I can’t say how the food was but I refuse to support an establishment with people that treat you like a burden.
Burger, naan, Katsu sandwich, Brussels sprouts. All super good.
Service left much to be desired. Bartender ignored us and acted like we were an inconvenience. We tried placing our orders for over 30 minutes and were kept being told to come back in ten minutes because she couldn’t take our order. Finally another bartender noticed us and took our order. I felt better treated at tipsy tomato. They have great customer service and treat you like family. However, the food here is really delicious.
Kitchen is open late, food was amazing
The forbidden naan is SO GOOD! It sounds odd, it’s not something I’d typically go for, my mom told me how delicious it was and she didn’t lie! I live in Green Bay and I DREAM about the forbidden naan. They make a darn good Moscow mule too. Excellent every time we eat here, can’t wait to go back!
It's got the atmosphere of a cute little dive bar, and super friendly staff, but what's going to keep us coming back for our whole vacation is the FOOD! Easily the most interesting menu in Manitowoc, from a city girl's perspective, with well thought out and executed dishes. It's rare that more than a couple things stand out to try on a menu, but I need to come back for at least a dozen meals to try everything that looked good on this one! 😋
Good service and great food. What more could you want?

Been there plenty of times since it’s first opened and my favorite place for burgers in Manitowoc County I totally recommend this place. Plus the bartenders are always professional and courteous and speedy even when the place is packed to the roof.
I had the shrimp fried rice, tonight. it was very tasty, however there could have been less, either salt, or soy sauce, as it was overly salty. I enjoyed the dish, it would be better if you lighten up on the salt content.
Staff was exceptional
