The Spices Restaurant and Bar Manitowoc

We just tried this place tonight and are so glad we did. Excellent Indian food with big portions. It's a great ethnic food addition to Manitowoc! The staff was very friendly, and we will definitely be back!

Food was very tasty.. very good . However we paid 40 bucks for two chicken dishes… and truly the portions were very small . We took our order to go .. the main course came in a small bowl and they put the rice in a small to go box .. very small portion of rice with each chicken order .. not a lot of meat in the sauce . So the food taste was good .. portions related to cost .. not so much .. the amount of rice .. poor .

My first time eating at The Spices in Manitowoc and I must say I ordered the Garlic Naan and Chicken Curry to go and I will be coming back soon. Great service and great food. Also want to add I liked how the server took the time to converse with me the whole time I was waiting, it made the time go by so much quicker.

Our order consisted of the Mango Lassi (creamy yogurt drink) Chicken Curry (curry sauce made with coconut milk). This meal comes with rice. The flavor is not spicy but full of light flavors. We also ordered the Garlic Naans (it's a lighter bread that you can use as a scoop with your meal). We will be back again soon!

This place is a new gem in Manitowoc. Highly recommend. Great food and service. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Was a pleasant experience overall. Waiter was super nice. Butter Chicken tasted wonderful. I personally wasn’t a fan of the cheese Naan bread but I want to try the garlic one next time. Portions were more than i anticipated so the price is justified. I would recommend it to everyone. The one and only downside for me was that I got level 5 and was ready for spicy and I didn’t find it spicy at all. I know I have a pretty high tolerance for spice but I was confused. Maybe there was a mix up. It wasn’t enough of an issue to drop a star though. Will definitely be coming back.

This is one of the nicest servicing staff restaurants I would have been to! We went there while returning from Green bay to our hotel. It is a small place inside a gas station, there were not many people inside, literally just 2 people were there.

The food was really good. We ordered rajma masala, palak paneer and roti! Everything was mildly spiced like we had asked, paneer was soft as if made then and there, and palak paneer gravy was just perfect! The restaurant missed 1 star for the roti, which their manager had already told us, that is made of maida and not actually aata! We knew that when we ordered it. But despite being a maida roti, it was mildly uncooked at the center. The food is not expensive as well. It like most other Indian restaurants.

The best part is the guy who manages the place, he was honest and friendly. He told us about the roti flour, that their portions are big (so we didn’t over-order), asked us about our day’s trip, he also suggested us some recommendations to try while we are in Door county!

Overall, the food is good (except the roti), the place is small, but the service is really good and fast!!

Always amazing. Ordered takeout only downfall is they did not label our food. One was hot and one was not and other was hard to tell the difference. Otherwise great!

Thank you The Spices restaurant for bringing flavor to Manitowoc!!! We have craved more than just meat + potatoes or pizza in this town - and you have delivered! All of our dishes were served hot and freshly made and so incredibly rich with favorite Indian flavor. My vegetarian dish was delicious and my husband's lamb saag was so good! Thumbs up from the kids on the shrimp chop suey, somasosa and Chinese style buns. I loved my Masala tea too! We will be back for years to come!

Vegetarian options: Large selection of Southern Indian dishes which are exclusively vegetarian, Northern Indian with meats and Indo- Chinese. So Good!!
