The owner reopened after remodeling and has decided that the backbone supporters of his business are no longer welcome there. If you're on UTV ATV or Snowmobile don't bother - they don't want you there. Big sign out front saying they will no longer cater to those people.

This place has been totally remodeled in the last 3 months. Still finishing the exterior. My husband and I go here every week. The food is great, high quality and fresh. Has a lot of unusual dishes on the menu, so if you are willing to try something different you won't be disappointed. The nightly special is just that, special. Take a chance you won't regret. We are lucky to have this wonderful place in such a small community.

Made reservations in advance for a wedding anniversary. The place looks like a dump outside, but is decent once you get inside. It took a while to get to our table. Apps are all heavy/fried, so we skipped an app. I ordered a lemon drop martini; the waitress said she’d never taken an order for one before and had questions. I believed it when my lemon drop martini came out looking like water. Now, for a place that supposedly has 175+ bourbons, how was that not mentioned by the waitress or a drink menu?? Soups for the night sounded gross, no one in our section ordered them. Salads were okay, but sparse and salad dressing came in gas station baggies. For a reservation, we just felt rushed, when the place was practically empty when we got there. Salads came out ASAP, and we weren’t even done with them when the entrees came out. My Chrissie’s Belle Scallop was just one-note; I was bored with it after two bites. My husband did like his deconstructed beef burria but said he felt rushed too. We asked about dessert and found out there wasn’t any, just ice cream. Just up your game for business if you actually care, instead of having your “friend” post on his Facebook page that your food is amazing, because unbiased sites don’t humor that sh!te. Definitely the most disappointing meal we’ve had in years.

We found the Wildcat quite by chance, while riding the Clark County ATV Trails. We stopped in for a late afternoon lunch. The bar was full with ATV riders doing the same. The dining room had one large group seated, with plenty of tables available. The lunch menu was simple, but had something for everyone. We had a grilled chicken sandwich on some Texas toast. It sounds plain, but was quite tasty. Served hot and fresh as we sat at the bar. Our bartender was VERY good. His service was excellent, and quick. He also had an extensive knowledge of premium bourbon. The bourbon list he provided was a two sided full page of the most popular, and sometimes rare bourbon. We will stop for dinner the next time we are in the area. And stop for lunch again, the next time we are on the trails.
One of the best bars we have ever stopped at. The bartender Barb was fantastic and the people there were welcoming and fun. Only stopped for one, but stayed for 5 hours!!! A must stop on your north woods travels!
