The food was not bad, could have had more flavor, I got the Cuban and the pulled pork didn't seem to be seasoned. I made the mistake of getting a fountain drink, way more than just a can. Kind of a dour experience. I felt like I was supposed to know how the system worked and they were a trifle exasperated when I needed some explanation. The ladies working were very serious, no music playing so it was sort of an uncomfortable silence the whole time I was there. Only one other person there when I was there but when I went to the register to buy a postcard ( they do have some interesting and funny Wisconsin themed gifts for sale) the woman at the register was very intent on something and ignored me for close to a minute. I finally just put a dollar on the counter and left. I like local business and might try this again as I visit mauston occasionally but it wouldn't be a priority.

The food was mediocre at best; sandwiches were not assembled with care (i.e. uneven distribution of ingredients), yet the ingredients were fresh. The employees act as if they want to quit their job and are very passive aggressive. I was on the verge of three stars but getting an order wrong cannot be rectified.

We came to Mauston from out of town and had to do some web based training and called them and asked if we could sit down and do our online training while eating some delicious food! They welcome us with open arms. They were so friendly, welcoming, such a great family run small business!!! Their soups and sandwiches were 10/10!

Homemade, hearty, flavorful and filling! That just describes the Cheesy potato soup and the warm and crunchy sour-dough bread bowl. From the first smells to your first taste the consistency in Log Cabins food is amazing. Do you want the feeling of home-cooked comfort food? Well the ladies here know just what that means. Prices are excellent and the daily specials have a little for everyone. Just know you may go in wanting just one thing and come out with much more. Can't say enough. Even if your just driving thru well worth your time and money. Who doesn't love a local bussiness that does its people proud.

Sandwich was good...very cute decor. Service was very slow! They stated that they were training that caused the delay. This was on Saturday around noon ???????? We had to eat our sandwich while we waited for 1/2 pound of lunchmeat to be sliced.Then we still had to wait for it. ?
