We had an afternoon with nothing going on so we went down to the quaint little town of Mazo. What we found was a nice little Cafe coffee House built into an original main Street Bank from the late 1800's. We were hungry so we all had an entree, I had a Reuben. My wife had a walnut apple strawberry salad and there was one other entree... Just a nice afternoon and a cool little joint. I'll come back.

This place is great. The service is wonderful, the coffee is good and the food is great. I drive 7 min in the opposite direction of my work to grab a coffee as well as one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a very long time, the classic egg on a everything bagel. IT'S SOOOOO GOOD. They also have local clothing, jewelry, tea, coffee, and candles available for sale too. I truly love this place.

My wife and I stopped in on our way home from a weekend getaway. The staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. We had the classic egg sandwich and the garlic pepper sandwich. Will recommend to anyone traveling near Madison!

1855 Coffee House is a true gem! The renovated bank has lovely nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy. The bank vault with local merchandise is not to be missed. I joined friends who were regulars and were immediately greeted by name. I'm also told that they have a fantastic frequent customer program. My latte and egg sandwich were delicious.
