Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner and waited 30+ minutes passed our reservation time to get a table. Then when we got to a table we waited another 30 minutes to get a waitress to even come to our table.... about three hours later we finished our entire meal and got the bill. Good thing we didn’t have any other plans because this experience was like pulling teeth to get any sort of food or service here and we would’ve had to cancel our other plans. The food was good, if it would’ve been warm when we got to eat it though...
Not only was there not enough staff to serve people, I was told I couldn’t have my order because it turned out the steak “smelled bad” and all the filets were bad. So sad - this used to be a favorite place to go.
Just went for my birthday, everything was EXCELLENT! Food was delicious & service was friendly!
Nice atmosphere. Frank Sanatra and Bing Crosby in background. My parents would have liked this place. The oldfashion was good with a full bar. The food was alright, but I have had more flavorful prime rib. The clam chowder from the buffet was not thick and could have had more clams and less potato. The popovers were wonderful. Definately plenty of food.
Service was great. Food was great. Steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. We’ll be back!
Very good food and service. Both of our meals were served very timely and at the right temps. The warm popovers with cinnamon butter are awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be back again soon
Favorite brunch place. Very unique interior.most romantic place we ho to. Food options are fantastic.
Terrible service. The lady was extremely unprofessional. We asked her questions about the dessert and other interesting things about slogs and she acted like she knew it all. I will absolutely never go there again.
Where to start... Came here on a Saturday night, & was NOT busy. Started out with an old fashioned at the bar. Was good. Hand muddled. Was seated thereafter & ordered another old fashioned, which took a long time as our waitress seemed more interested in chatting at the bar; but we were still hopeful. We placed our order: me- liver & onions with mashed potato; hubby- rack of ribs with baked potato. Pop-Overs were brought to the table & they were luke-warm insomuch as the butt
I've always thought this place looked scuffed from the outside, but I've never been so wrong. The atmosphere of this place was absolutely perfect. The music of Frank Sinatra paired with the beautiful, arching architecture was amazing. The knick knacks were tasteful and interesting, they didn't look like attic junk. The colored glass was very well maintained, and the bathrooms were very clean. The food, while a bit overpriced, was divine. The rib meat fell off the bone perfectly, the candied yams were really well done, the hot dish was very well.

Used to be amazing, now it is a train wreck... We had to get our own drinks for our table from a incompetent bartender, so very lengthy. Thankfully we didn't have to get our own food, but what came out was half the quality of what it used to be. Previously I would've begged someone to try it, now I would just cook for them to avoid the disappointment.
VERY disappointed, my wife ordered Chucken Parmesan and it was Spaghetti and Meatballs with a chicken breast on top. I ordered New York Strip-Ive had better BUT when it arrived, it was warm, the butter didn't melt on my mashed potatoes or on my green beans-they were less than warm...
Arrived and were ignored for 5 mins + before someone approached us and asked if we wanted a table. BTW - we were the only one standing at the "Wait to be seated" sign. Once seated and all of our group arrived we ordered. Out of a party of 6 NO ONE finished their meal. Most used item on the table was salt. One of the orders was missed so that person had to wait until almost everyone was done with their meal before their's came out. My steak was supposed to have been a Sirloin and I'm about positive it was Round steak. Service was slow and uncoordinated and food quality was bland at best. For the prices they charge the entire experience was terrible. Comment at the end of the meal was "we should have gone and gotten fast food". Save yourself - don't step in this very dated and poor quality restaurant.
Beautiful Atmosphere, Friendly Staff & Great Food!
The new menu and chef are just stellar! The menu is more limited, and I think that's a good thing. The Italian sauces the new chef makes are some of the best I've had, the steaks and fish are still the best in the area, and the new chef is creative with his delicious soups: from my experience this is a no brainier for awesome steak, perfectly done tuna, great sides, a solid salad bar, and they even have fresh popovers!
