Gamer, Traveler, Foodie, and Mechanic (C_Y_N_I_C_A_L)
First time trying Taco John's, and I want to be clear right up front: the staff was friendly, the dining area was clean, and it was very quiet inside. That part was genuinely nice. I ordered the two soft shell tacos and the value nacho burrito with beef. I understand I may not have experienced the full menu, but based on what I tried, the food itself was pretty underwhelming for the price. The beef had a texture and flavor that reminded me of fried okra, if you removed the seeds, skipped the frying, and instead gently simmered it for several hours with very little seasoning and a noticeable amount of starch. The tacos were generously filled with lettuce, so at least there was volume. I tried all three sauces: original, mild, and hot. They were all impressively restrained. No heat, no punch, no real flavor. Just kind of present, like they didn’t want to inconvenience anyone. The value burrito was surprisingly thin and pressed flat, which made me pause and reconsider what fast food value means in 2025 versus what it meant sometime around 2008. That was an uncomfortable moment for the burrito. The highlight of the meal was the potato rounds and a Mug Root Beer. Salt still works, and carbonation continues to do its job. Overall, the restaurant itself is fine and the people are great. But you come here for the food, and for me, the food didn’t quite justify the cost. This may be fantastic if you grew up with it. As an outsider, it felt polite, nostalgic, and a little too comfortable being bland.

I always like to eat inside with my kids and it's never disappoints. Very clean! the staff is noticeably kind and patient. They have meal deals that are as cheap as the other fast food taco place. But honestly, Taco Jaohns always tastes so much better. Love!

There’s one guy there who is heavy set, short hair. he’s an absolute jerk and has no customer service skills whatsoever . I will never return because of how he acted towards me. It’s been 7 or so months since I’ve been here but I forgot o leave a review
