Came to Menomonie for a visit with my daughter, the college student and decide to try this place. Nicely done bar and restaurant in the British Theme. We order the Tiki Marsala, Guinness Burger and Fish and Chips. Let me say the Fish and Chips were wonderful. However, there was a problem with the other two dinners. Our waiter, fixed them to our satisfaction. Tiki Marsala was replaced with the Bangers and Mash, and the burger was redone to perfection. The Bangers and Mash was a hit with the whole table and The Guinness Burger was raved about by the table as well. We walked out happy and full. Yes, I would heartily recommend this restaurant and eat there again.

The Duke & Dagger has skilled bartenders, delicious food cooked by chefs who take pride in their culinary creations and an atmosphere that is casual yet somehow sophisticated simultaneously. A must try if you are in the Dunn County area!

This was our first meal out as a couple since our daughter was born in July (we also have a 2.5yr old, so our home is chaotic). We were a bit nervous due to Covid, but after hearing positive feedback about their precautions from the county health department, we made a reservation. We will return! We were the only ones in the restaurant almost the entire two hours we were there, the tables were distanced, employees masked, and phone numbers taken for contact tracing if needed. We felt safe and were able to enjoy a relaxed and delicious meal. Having a lunch date in this welcoming atmosphere was exactly what our marriage needed! We loved all the pictures of the royal family and it sparked some great conversation for us. We went all out ordering and everything was delicious. To start, we ordered a poinsettia spritz and a Manhattan for drinks - both delicious. The elderflower liquor in the spritz was a lovely touch. For a starter, we had the Reuben rolls - awesome although have a napkin handy for the grease when you bite into one. For the main meal, I ordered the special of rosemary steak skewers (with mash and roasted carrots) and my husband had the lamb burger (with French onion soup). The horseradish sauce with my skewers was extremely mild with a nice flavor. About halfway through, we swapped plates because the rosemary got to be too much for me and we were both able to enjoy both meals. The lamb burger was incredible and absolutely what I’ll order next time. The soup was a LOT of onions, but my husband said it was good and not overly salty. For dessert, we shared the chocolate peppermint cake - spectacular! Then we closed out the meal by sharing a Queen Mum’s Rum, which was a wonderful, warm drink that reminded me of butterbeer from Harry Potter. Normally we don’t order that many courses, but it was so worth it and reasonably priced. We will absolutely be returning and are looking forward to it!

Our 1st time. My daughter brought me for my birthday. It was wonderful. The staff, the ambience, its so warm n cozy. What a great restaurant! The food was amazing. We can't wait to go back and try more! Scotch Eggs, OMG ?! We had the rib eye, garlic mashed... SO GOOD! For dessert the poux de creme(sp?) IT WAS DREAMY. ❤ next time i want one to go in an ice cream pail. If your in Menomonie, you must GO! ?

We found this place online and are glad we did. Our waiter was great and had some excellent recommendations. The cheese curds were average but the rest of our food and drinks were excellent.

My royal crown’s off to the cheese plate. Amazing feta, huge chunk of blue, Brie creamy and firm, and much more. Asked for extra toast because can’t waste any of that WI goodness. For main course, I ordered the Elizabeth salad with steak. Really good. Would order the blue cheese dressing on side if I did it again, but it’s not overwhelming so was fine. Potato soup was also very good.
