The Cesar salad was very basic...grated cheese over lettuce with a crumbs of croutons, not actual croutons. The pork oso bucco was so dry and tough, I couldn't cut it. Halfway through it had an incredibly strong, wild taste that was powerful enough that I didn't finish it. The pizzas were great!

Although our reservation was made several weeks in advance and we arrived early, we were pushed off the event room which is separate from the restaurant. With the very cold temps outside and the large windows the room was very cold. Staff kept saying they were talking to maintenance about raising the temp but nothing actually took place to do that. Service to the separate room seemed to be an after thought and was very slow. We waited at least ten minutes to be greeted and take drink orders. From there service was uneven through the meal. The food was very good (although I have never seen basil on a margarita pizza before cooking - isn't it added after it comes out of the oven?). Pasta dishes were an excellent as were starters, especially the focaccia. We really want to like Renard's.... do better.

This was one of those times when we wanted to complain to the waitress, but she was too nice to upset. We probably should have done so anyway , because otherwise nothing changes. In the way of background: 1) 2 Couples. 2) Both couples ordered one $13.00 Nieman Fall Salad per couple which our waitress split for us. Consisted mostly of wilted radicchio lettuce and a few thin slices of radish - with a poor vinagrette dressing and a sprinking of cheese. It would have been great fodder for rabbits -but not for supposed fine dining. 3) All four members of our group then each individually ordered the $38.00 Lobster Ravioli. It had come recommended - but bad bad Mistake. The waitress said it came with a half pound of lobster on top of the ravoli. Well folks, my wife and I are NOT GOURMANDS -but we do like to cook. We know what good food should taste like. I doubt there was a quarter pound of lobster sitting on each dish, and the kicker was it tasted like those large old pencil erasers you used in elementary school -tough, fiberous and tasteless. 4) But the coup d'etat was the Lobster Ravoli. Okay - one orders Lobster Ravioli - one expects to get Lobster FILLED Ravioli. Nope. Its was filled with some oozing cheese that did nothing to compliment the dish. The ravioli sat on a sauce my wife thought was Campbells Tomato Soup. 5) Sooooo ---- As you can see we were VERY disappointed.

This was our second time at the restaurant. We enjoy the European bistro atmosphere and the decor is very nice. Once again, the food was delicious. We were a party of 4 and 2 of us had the mahi mahi and we both thought is was outstanding. The others had the duck and the Osso Buco and they felt their dishes were outstanding. Hats off to the chef! My only complaint, actually, 2 concerns is that there is nowhere to hang your coat. I feel at a restaurant like this having my coat on the back of my chair or behind me on the booth seating defeats the atmosphere the bistro is trying to portray. Secondly, on both visit, you were “changing out the wine” and many of the items on the list were unavailable. When asked for a Chardonnay and we were given 2 options. We chose one but then after checking. our server said neither were available. We found another that we liked but it should not be that hard to choose a glass of wine. We will be back. Tweak a few things and 5 stars will me my next review.

Service was extremely slow. We ordered muscles for our starter and it came with the rest of the food. The Cesar salad never came. Food was overall good and priced appropriately for what you get. It is a possibility that we will return, but probably not anytime soon.

The pasta was absolutely phenomenal, it was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The focaccia bread was hands down some of the best we’ve ever had, soft and impossible to stop eating.
Renard’s made a milestone moment of our engagement even more magical. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly, highly recommend.
I’ve never had a bad dish coming here. If you’re looking for a coy spot to grab an even cozier bite, this is the place for you. The interior is beautifully decorated and seating at both the regular dining and the bar is a good experience. Service is always phenomenal as well. Will definitely keep going back!

I got the lobster Ravioli. It was great, I would suggest getting an extra order of the lobster. It’s on the smaller side from a portion standpoint. Great atmosphere, the private dining was very nice.

Great place to eat and the NY strip steak I had was awesome! They also have great appetizers! Location is great as well but it is a bit hard to locate as there are no visible signs.
