We usually visit the other location, but I’ll be making this my regular go to location now. The cashier was very friendly and allowed the kids to try their flavors before deciding which one they wanted. The ice cream was very creamy and flavorful. Highly recommended

Absolutely amazing ice cream! The sugar levels were just right — not too sweet, just perfect. Every flavor we tried was spot on, full of rich, real taste. The blueberry ice cream stood out especially — packed with real blueberries, not just flavoring. You could actually bite into the fruit, which made it even better.
One thing to note: their indoor seating area appears to be closed (at least when we visited), so you may want to check ahead if you’re planning to sit inside. Still, a must-visit for ice cream lovers. Highly recommend!

While visiting Milwaukee from Michigan, we have been trying to find a good local ice cream shop. We stumbled upon The Purple Door this evening, and the only thing I'm sad about is that tomorrow is our last day. The ice cream was phenomenal and we received great service. We'll definitely go back for one last visit during our trip, but I'm finding myself wondering if we'd be able to keep some pints frozen during our 6.5 hour drive home. So if you're in the area, you won't regret treating yourself here!

The employees were great with helping pick out a flavor and offering samples. The ice cream was wonderfully creamy and the sorbet was very good. The atmosphere is very industrial and stark. It would be nice if there were spots that had trees or some nature.

Milwaukee location sadly to say had rude staff and their customer satisfaction is non existent. I’m not the first one apparently to say this. I’ll be sharing my experiences privately with owner but I’m not holding my breath. As an event planner who brings lots of business to Milwaukee and local businesses, I will not be referring them as a place to visit to my thousands of members. Good luck!
