Tanners Christmas Bar is open and awesome!! Get down here and spend some time!! Christmas drinks and great service with Brie, Jenna, and Chris!! Can't wait to get back in town and hang with these guys!! Let's not forget to mention Vanessa too! That's for making this my home while I'm in town!!

I was in dire need of tater tot’s to accompany the chicken tenders for our grandson. I bought the tenders at the Pleasant View Golf Course (they’re good). No tots on the menu! Searched the net, Tanners came up. Short drive. I called the order in. They could have blown it off, they did not. Went to the bar, super friendly and they had the order ready. Next time I will buy the tenders as well. Great atmosphere!

Location isnt bad. Right off the beltline and university avenue. The food is average nothing will wow you but it wont disappoint either. Biggest mark down is staff. You cant walk to the bathroom without the hallway next to the kitchen smelling like weed. Typically half the staff is at the bar drinking. It has really gone down hill from when it was located in Greenway Station.

This has always been one of my go-to spots in the Madison area. The food and drink prices are super reasonable, and the bartenders never miss—they’re always friendly and on point. If you're into sports, this place is hands-down the best spot to catch a game. The atmosphere is electric, and there's no better place to be when the action’s on!

I will never step foot into this place again. I met a couple friends there for lunch. The food was mediocre and nothing good to say about the service. I left a generous tip on the check, despite the service because it wasn’t very busy there. One of my friends left a cash tip on the table and crossed out the tip line on her bill. That same friend called me a few days later and asked if I had been overcharged by Tanners. She had noticed that an extra $5 was charged to her card. I pulled up my bank statement and I had been charged an extra $20 over the amount I had written on my check. It went from $25 to $45. I called and spoke with the manager, Valerie, several times trying to get this straightened out. She would tell me she would look into it and call me back and then she wouldn’t. I had to be the one to call every single time. Finally over a week later she tells me she would refund the $20 to my account. By the way, there was never an apology of any kind, just a tone that conveyed I was annoying her. So now it’s been almost 2 months since I was told she would refund the over charge and I haven’t received it. I called again today and spoke with the same manager and she just said Oh, I know I did it. And asked if I could go over there and pick up the $20. I said they could mail it to me as I won't waste my time driving over there. Again no apology, just a total lack of caring or customer service. If you go here you may want to make sure they didn’t over charge you.
