This place has good vibes from the moment you walk in. The beer is spectacular and the food is crazy good. We happened upon this spot coming from the airport on our way out of town and it blew all of us away. It’s the kinda hidden gem that we all need in our lives.
Cashmere sweater is delicious. Cute little spot , recommend stopping by.
Had a chance to stop by in an effort to kill some time and this place did not disappoint. Great beer and great conversation with Olivia. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good drinks and vibe.
Fabulous little Brewery! Great beer and nice atmosphere! We will be back!
Great IPAs!
Phenomenal beer experience.
Beer was tasty
Far exceeded my expectations. The west coast triple ipa (7 c's) was smooth, crisp, and not sweet in the least. the sea foam was a hit, even not being a sour fan, i wanted more. chill atmosphere from bar to table. definately worth the stop.
Beer is alright. The bartenders are a bit obtuse and don’t know how to describe their beer. Unable to sample so it’s a bit of a gamble on if you like what you get based off their recommendations. Asked for something sweeter (fruity ipa style) and got poured a sour that was dry.
My new favorite nano brewery in Milwaukee. Delicious beer, generous staff, relaxing vibes in the taproom where games & plants abound. Highly recommended.

3:20pm on a Friday of a holiday weekend. Ran out of their own beer West Bend before we could order. And it was one of their bottled beers since the tap selection is limited. More accustomed to tap room serving from the tap, not bottles. Not a huge problem tho, as long as they aren’t running out of beer.
When you walk in, prep your nose for the smell of the Bark Park next door. Luckily it doesn’t flow into the bar too bad.
Small, urban, rough inside but OK. Think that’s the intended feel of reclaimed space. No concern there.
Parking is a roll of the dice on the street.
Overall, better options in the area, especially since they can’t keep their own beer in stock.
All of their offerings are solid, but I think 1840 truly excels at hoppy beers, fruited sours, funky sours, Belgians, and barrel-aged beers. Best microbrewery in the city, hands down! (Also, it's the only place I know of that has a Skeech table!)
Cool place and good beers
Dry hop ipa was great!
A great range of beers that are ever-changing! They have some good locally made snacks as well. I highly recommend the jar of salsa and bag if chips for $10. It's a cool, rustic atmosphere. My only complaint is that they no longer allow dogs inside the brewery.
