Good pre-theater dinner at Amalinda on Saturday night. Other than the salad and chicken being oily, the dinner was excellent. Nice to see the good choices for wines by the glass. And that dessert was amazing!

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Amilinda, and it was a wonderful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was outstanding. Chef Gregory truly makes a difference with his creativity and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

As always, Amilinda didn't disappoint. All staff, including the chef, makes the guest feel welcome and appreciated from the moment you enter. Service is excellent and the food is always delish & fun to share! The veal chop with leeks was so good last night.

I just had the weirdest experience that I can't not share, which is a real bummer because we've eaten here before and liked it. We made a reservation via Open Table and literally two minutes later a family issue came up and we had to cancel. You have to call to cancel so I did, and left a message explaining we only had the reservation for a couple minutes so hopefully they would be reasonable and we look forward to coming in again soon. They charged us $30 so I called back, again having to leave a message saying I hope they would reverse that charge and be reasonable since we only had the reservation for two minutes and it shouldn't impact their business or ability to get someone else in that spot. Greg, who I believe is the owner from context clues but I could be wrong, called me back. He came in very hot, called me the wrong name (apparently because of how I popped up on his caller ID, which is weird but I believe him because why lie about that) and was very defensive when I corrected him. He told me I was being rude and interrupting him but he had paused so it seemed my turn to talk. Apparently the system automatically makes the charges so I then asked if he could reverse it and he again yelled at me to let him finish. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but it is absolutely unacceptable to talk to somone like that if you ever want them to return to your restaurant and give you money. I'm sure he'll reply and say I was being rude because he kept yelling at me that I was rude on the phone but it must be known that I was very intentionally being very even tempered because I was trying to bring him down a few notches to talk. He said he'd process the refund, which I do appreciate, and hung up on me. My partner is my witness and assured me I was not being rude. It was a wild experience. Again, just don't yell at customers and you'll have better luck keeping them.

Edit: I can't take anyone seriously if they get upset over the word bologna.

What a wonderfully warm place in so many ways - I can’t wait to go back once the menu changes. Three of us shared the tuna appetizer, Ovos Verdes, kind of like a Portuguese scotch egg; the cream of carrot soup (always order soup at a nice restaurant!); the cabbage salad (love a refreshing crunchy fall salad); and the duck rice which was very rich but complemented beautifully with the salad. Drinks were delicious as expected.

Incredibly welcoming and accommodating staff and owner even as things got busier as the night got later. We will definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed the Beef tongue and chicken piri piri dishes. Chef Greg came to our table and helped tidy up and chat with us. He has a very engaging personality. Noela was our server and did an excellent job recommending wine and food. We'll come back!

It's a rare day I choose to dine out - so the bar is set high and Amilinda served up the best experience!! From pacing, to plating ... to the dessert!! Oh my goodness!!! Memorable.

You walk in to a cozy ambiance and you feel right at home. We ordered several starters, entrees, and desserts - each were amazing. The staff and chef checked in frequently to ensure the dining experience was top notch - and it was.

Friends came in from out of town and we wanted them to experience the great creations of Chef Greg and the exceptional service we always receive. It was an easy sell as they had read about Chef Greg. Of course the whole team came through and they had a great time. I couldn't be more grateful. If you have the chance , I highly recommend Amilinda's.
