Came in at 2pm. Had a few questions the girl seemed bothered. No espresso available, asked about cold brew and was told “we can add stuff” but no suggestions.Asked about pour over coffee and was told they wouldn’t make one because they are closing at 4pm. Ended up just getting a regular coffee, looked for tip jar and was told they already took it down to wash. I’m surprised there are so many people in here. I came here often when it first opened and all I can say is it changed, not for the better.

Everything was good about this place, but, me and my friend were harassed by a beggar that goes here, mind you, me and my friend are both minors, and when we asked the staff for help, they did absolutely nothing about it, the beggar pulled out a chair and sat directly next to me delivering a sob story, that made me incredibly uncomfortable, and the fact that the staff looked the other way the whole time, made this even worse, so until they ban the beggar, who wears a black ski mask, is tall, wears a gray, dark greenish coat, I will kindly be taking my money to a different local Cafe

Anodyne ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us. The rustic meets modern downtown coffee shop vibes were just what we were looking for. Let me tell you, this place is nice during the day, but at night this place comes alive with the string lights, moody mirrors, and classic radio wall. My husband and I took moments throughout the night to just around and admire the dreaminess of the venue. We received so many compliments about the bartenders and the venue coordinator Erica. The bartenders were super friendly and fast, and one of them even told us at the end of the night how much fun they had too! Erica was AMAZING to work with throughout the year and a half of planning. From the very first email to the last goodbye at the end of the wedding, she was the reason that everything ran so smoothly. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to the wedding, and she was helpful and accommodating every time. She told us that her goal was for us to enjoy our day and not sweat the small things, and that's exactly what she did! We held the ceremony and the reception there, and the transition after the ceremony was seamless and took less than ten minutes. Erica and her staff also set up all of our decor. We left the decor with her the day before the wedding, and when we walked up the stairs into Anodyne everything was set up the way we imagined it. No, better than we imagined! They went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Anodyne if you're getting married in Milwaukee!

Anodyne Coffee Roasters make exceptional coffee. I have used the Mind Tonic blend for many years and find the roasting expertise for that coffee measuring up to anything across the US. Nolan does a fantastic job at blending & roasting beans through the seasons. Bravo!
Nothing noteworthy for customer service but they use store bought syrups which I don’t love

The Anodyne team killed it for our wedding. The space is so cool and unique. The reclaimed wood tables, decor inventory to borrow, brick wall feature, and stage, really add something special for events. The tables and chairs were included with the space rental. The location was excellent - walking distance to the Iron Horse and many other great Milwaukee landmarks. We can’t say enough good things about Erica. She was easy to communicate with, responsive, always had answers to our many questions. I’ve known Erica for a while but she recognized my wife, who she only met once, and always said hi when she’d come in for coffee on the weekends. This made us very comfortable and feel special. We’d pick Anodyne again and again if we did it over.

This is my go-to coffee shop in MKE! The coffee and matcha lattes are consistently excellent, and the baristas are always friendly and helpful. The space is massive, yet cozy and inviting at the same time.
Great spot to work or unwind. The beautiful wood architecture, high ceilings, and live edge wood tables create a rustic, charming atmosphere. Vibe is lovely. Highly recommend!

They don't answer voice mails. There must not be any humans or even an AI algorithm connected to their very long and unresponsive vm system.
Absolute swill for anyone who drinks single origin black coffee. Try Stone Creek, Interval, Discourse, or Canary instead. Some nice baristas but no discretion in coffee. They can do better because they used to have decent coffee sometimes years ago. Many better places to try.

Had high expectations and assumed the coffee should be good since they are a roaster, but the mocha and latte was freakin hot and burned my mouth, sorry

Awesome cafe in downtown Milwaukee with a delectable selection of coffee and tea drinks and baked goods. The interior space is massive, the perfect space for events or larger group hangouts/light working, and there are a bunch of tables outside too for when the weather is warmer.
I tried the lavender espresso tonic, the matcha latte, and the flourless banana bread. The espresso tonic was wonderful, acidic, tart, and the lavender added a delicious, sweet kick to it. The matcha latte was extraordinarily smooth and creamy— good quality matcha. The banana bread was good too, very dense and not too sweet.
