If you’re on the fence about trying Apertivo, let me convince you to finally check it out. From the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees, everything we had was excellently prepared and presented. Food is fresh and flavorful and the space itself is filled with an old world, yet sophisticated charm. Great for a date night or for a large group! Highly, highly recommend Apertivo!

Great food, drink, service and history. Didn't know what to expect from what I saw online. Seemed like An italian restaurant but also very much like a bar. Turns out it's both great cocktails and Italian. I got the fungi pizza and my friend got the greek flat bread. Both very good, though I do prefer thinner on the crust. I got a manhattan neat and it was great. They have a big variety of bitters and amaro and other types of apparitives that probably helped. Then got a sazarac which was great. Really enjoyed the ambience the detail in everything. Seemed they really wanted to bring some of the history back of the building and the area. Prices were very reasonable and wide variety menu. We'll be back.

If you’re looking for the best espresso martini in Milwaukee, this is the spot. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and just the right kick. It sets the tone for a whole night out in MKE. I also tried the hummus plate and the spicy sausage rigatoni, and both were absolutely delectable. The rigatoni’s cream sauce in particular was rich and flavorful without being too heavy. EASILY one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in the city.
The atmosphere strikes a rare balance: sophisticated yet laid back, making it perfect for both a night out with friends or a relaxed date. And with its prime location in the heart of Milwaukee, it’s a must-visit for anyone who loves great cocktails, incredible food, and a vibe that feels effortlessly classy.

Today I visited this spot with my friends and must say, it is truly a beautiful place. I’m sure it has a rich history, which unfortunately I don’t know. The bar is excellent, and the atmosphere is very charming.
However, there were a few things that disappointed me. Unfortunately, the pizza was not tasty at all. The crust was thick and dry, and it even gave me heartburn, which I normally don’t experience. So, I would recommend being careful when choosing from the menu. We ordered a pizza with garlic, caramelized onions, and mushrooms, I don’t recall the name.
The thing that disappointed us the most, though, was what seemed to be large clumps of dust on the curtains. I think it would be great if you could address this issue, as it detracts from the otherwise wonderful experience at your place.
The service was impeccable and cocktails was great.

The food and drink are always good, really great happy hour deals. We’ve had the same server twice now, she is blatantly rude. When our gluten free friend inquired about a dish, she was extremely snappy back. I understand a bad night or it gets busy, but it seems pretty consistent with this server. Service honestly ruined our experience and will not be back. If your customers are constantly an inconvenience to you, you should not be in this industry. We’ve never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before.
Business lunch with colleague. Warm atmosphere with cream brick and vintage framed pictures. Service was quick and friendly with two waitresses running the floor of clients. Ordered a Wise Guy (excellent) and greek salad with chicken (great dressing!) Food was plentiful abd fresh. For my first time there,they did an excellent job all around. Nice patio area in front if you prefer. We'll be back...thank you!
