Terrible customer service to disabled person and service dog. If this is how they treat human beings they don't deserve to be serving food to anyone.🤢
I think this is a really nice place to go for some pretty good Greek food at pretty good prices.
Their soda(free refills) is only $2 which is a great price considering the "big box" restaurants that charge $4 and $5 for a soda that comes loaded with ice unless you say you want no ice.
The spanakopita is the only item we find is not made the standard Greek way so are not fans of that, but what they do have is:
Excellent dalmodes
Gyros off a spit with a good portion of onions and tomatoes.
The tzatziki sauce is in a squeeze bottle so you can have as much as you would care for.
Pastitsio where the meat sauce has that cinnamon and nutmeg flavor and a really bechamel topping.
Moussaka is good too.
If you order any of those as plates you get fries, rice pilaf or greek style stewed potatoes that are as good as any you would get in Chicago's Greek town restaurants, you also get a plate with a few pitas cut into slices with the meals.
The Athenian 1/2 chicken is okay, I've had better, but it is really close. Needs a little crisper skin and a little more lemon when you get it. The spices could be upped slightly I'd add a little more thyme and rosemary. It was cooked through but was still juicy though.
Decor is greek based but not over the top.
They have several beers you can order and Roditis wine in the bottle.
If you are looking for a good meal give them a try.
Parking: If you drive down the side streets a little ways you can find free parking, or some spots with the milwaukee 2hr free parking signs.
Kid-friendliness: Kids can find something to eat there and I think they could get a little loud without a problem.

Brady Street Gem. Small Greek oasis in a sea of eclectic offerings. I stopped In for a small bite of hummus and left satisfied and with leftovers. The veggie sampler was spot on with deliciousness. I even snagged the baklava cheesecake to go, yum! The place has as a vibrant vibe especially with the outside noise. The parking in the back, though metered was convenient. It was 25c per 15 minutes, so bring coins or you could figure out how to do it on your phone. The two behind the counter were wonderful! You could tell they enjoyed and had a passion for serving delicious food. I would highly recommend this place If you want to get your Greek flare on. I definitely will be back for hummus and dessert!

Always able to get what I want, how I want it. The Greek baked potato wedges are truly yaya's (grandma's) recipe.
The half chicken is awesome as is the marinated lamb shank ??

My wife and I found this place off of an annual compilation of best restaurants posted to reddit every year. Since our first visit was so good, we have made sure to return here several times, each time they deliver in very rich tasting food.
Most recently, our visit today was inspiring to try a new dish and we had the Zeus Burger. We were pleasantly surprised at the savoriness of every bite, my wife and I were in agreement that this was potentially one of the best burgers either of us had ever had and it hasnow become our favorite dish to order while we are here.
Two other points I wanted to touch on were cost and service. The cost feels appropriate, $10~ a la carte for a burger or $15 for their plate with rice/fries. This feels completely reasonable in inflationary times like this. Food tastes less good in my opinion when it costed me an arm and a leg. The other point was the service. There is something very charming and welcoming about your order being taken with a smile that really does add to the overall experience.
I cannot recommend Apollo Cafe more especially to friends and family coming to town to visit and you want to show off Milwaukee cuisine!

Can not say enough good things about this place! We happened upon the Apollo Cafe while in Milwaukee for the weekend and are so glad we did. Enjoyed everything including the service, atmosphere and especially the food! Best hummus we've had. Can't wait to go back
