Another fantastic bar from John Dye. Great drinks. They specialize in ice-cream drinks but the menu is loaded with delicious options of all kind of cocktails. Fun retro atmosphere. Really good bartenders here. Safe close street parking.

I was visiting from out of town and chose this bar as a spot to catch up with some friends. Unfortunately, the experience took a disappointing turn. Toward the end of the night, a waitress we hadn't interacted with previously abruptly dropped a check on our table — despite the fact that we still had half-full drinks and had not requested it. Even if there had been a concern about our behavior or a policy we weren’t aware of, a simple conversation or warning would have been the respectful and professional approach. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome for no apparent reason. I’ve never experienced anything like this and would not recommend this establishment based on how we were treated.

I went to At Random for my 21st birthday which was so fun! My crew each had a different ice cream drink and they were soooo delicious. My honest review is that honestly the flavor could have been a little stronger for some of them but other than that they were sweet and tasty. I didn’t try any of their normal cocktails so I can’t speak to that. The atmosphere definitely was lounge vibes it’s dark and although they provide little lights know that it’s dark and moody and a little noisy. But it’s the whole point so that’s great! The wait staff were super friendly and did not “bother” us too often helped to enhance the overall vibe. The place was well decorated and had a nice outside area that was for self serve window style. Overall would love to go again!!!

We hit At Random every single time we are in town. The vibe is amazing. Feels like you were transported back in time. We’ve tried about 10 different milkshakes, and each one is so dang good.
My favorite is definitely the Grasshopper and the Strawberry Blondie, but every single one has been great. We’ve also tried a few different cocktails and they were also great.
The ice cream they use is truly the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. (I believe it’s Cedar Crest?)

My husband and I had a great time stopping here for some after dinner drinks. Our bartender, Jamie, provided great recommendations as well as made excellent drinks. She as well as the other bartender were very kind in answering all of our questions. The drinks were reasonably priced and top quality. I also appreciated the selection of non alcoholic drinks that were offered! We will definitely be coming back when we are in Milwaukee next!

We made a reservation. I recommend doing that. If there is no seating at the bar, you will not be allowed to stand and order. If you miss your reservation within 15 minutes, they will no longer accommodate it. There were eight of us. It was a Sunday night. We each ordered an ice cream drink. The snicker bar, the pink squirrel, the grasshopper, the chocolate raspberry. They have a happy hour that ended at 7 o’clock. $8 ice cream drinks, regularly $13. Drinks were delicious. But I was disappointed that half my drink was whipped cream. We were there for the experience and THAT did not disappoint. This is a classic Milwaukee cocktail lounge. A must when visiting.
