Avli was a well rounded excellent dining experience. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Crispy and tender. Our server Joseph was awesome and had great recommendations. I would definitely come back … beautiful atmosphere! What a gem in Milwaukee !

My wife enjoyed the beet pot pie, and I had the seared walleye and it was out of this world. We also enjoyed some appetizers and cocktails at the bar. The bartender was friendly and efficient. We had a great time and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend it.

Food was good, but very pricey for some pretty basic Greek dishes. Beautiful view of city and great service.

Food is decent but not what you would expect for the price. Atmosphere is cafeteria like. I wouldn’t go back.

Highly recommend this venue. Most especially during happy hour where you can get a good deal of delicious food and drink for a deep discount. The deck for outside seating is some of our favorite in the city. The saganaki is incredible with a little schmeer of fig compote... oh boy. Avoid the greek coffee tho.

We had our wedding reception in the lower level of Avli in September of 2024, and it was the best experience ever!! The event coordinators responded quickly; the restaurant staff were so kind, quick and accommodating; it was clear that everyone wanted to make our event special. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was either, even months after, people are still telling us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Couldn’t recommend it enough!! Thank you guys!

Absolutely delicious.
The veggies were fresh and crisp.
We tried to taste as much as possible, which was easy with their lovely happy hour deals.
The service from the front, to our waitress, to the people bringing the food and picking up the food was all top notch.
I cannot wait to go back.

We had a private lunch here for an event and had a fantastic experience. Food was excellent, restaurant is so nice, and their patio is amazing on a good weather day. Definitely recommend!

Drink, food and service all impressed! A great date night spot with a fantastic Greek inspired menu. Even better when the weather is night and you can enjoy your meal on the patio overlooking the city skyline. Definitely will be back.

Excellent brunch. When we couldn't get in to the tavern across the street we came to Avli and we're pleasantly surprised. Creative and delicious brunch drinks, egg dishes and much more. Sat out on the inviting deck with views out over the trees and across the river. Friendly and attentive staff.

We visited Avli yesterday, and the food was fantastic. Every bite of every dish tasted great. It is across the street from Uncle Wolfie's Breakfast place, in a funny spot since it's tucked in the Brewer's Hill neighborhood. It has a great view. The service was top notch, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended for a nice day on the deck or fun evening dinner. The watermelon salad, unique eggs benedict, strudel and everything else were tasty.

Overall, I was underwhelmed with this experience. We tried a few appetizers and entrees and each dish fell flat especially for the price. Calamari was overcooked, meatballs were overcooked and dry with little flavor. Gyro plate and octopus were good but REALLY lacked any wow factor and we left unsatisfied. We also thought it was odd they did not have lamb gyro...I could be ignorant in assuming that is a “traditional” protein.
Ambience, staff, and plating were all great but the food did not deliver the wow factor we were hoping for. I do not think we will be returning or recommending for food stop but perhaps happy hour drinks with a nice patio and view.
