Amazing fresh greek food well prepared and very tasty. The spanikopita and baklava were outstanding and the food is as good as travelling to Greece.
Absolutely love this place. The food wasn't as fantastic as it has been, this was my 5th visit. It was extremely busy. Zucchini chips were too salty (last time they were not) and chicken flatbread was meh. Great cocktails, delicious pita bread, flaming cheese , and Greek salad.
We love this place managed by Robert. The location is lovely with the view of MKE at night. Service is nice and staff try hard to keep people happy with their menu choices. The food is the best thing, with nice flavors inspired from Greece/ Mediterranean culture 💞
We have dined here 1-2 times per year over the past three years and have never been disappointed. The food is well prepared, the staff is always pleasant, it has a nice, casual setting and very reasonably priced. Lamb chops are excellent; the house wines are very nice and hummus appetizers are great! A must-do for all lovers of good food with wonderful but not overbearing flavors.
Fantastic food as always. Love their wine selections too. BUT, we had never been here on Friday evening and it was impossible loud. It wasn't even full house. We literally had to yell at each other to talk. Gradually we talked less and just ate. They should do something about acoustics. Planning to come back but not Friday or Saturday evenings.
I really wanted to like Avli, but unfortunately it was disappointing. My lamb was overcooked, as were the vegetables, which made the dish fall flat. The Nocturna cocktail also missed the mark and wasn’t enjoyable.
I’m absolutely willing to pay for high-quality food and a great dining experience, but this did not deliver on either. While the building itself is beautiful and the atmosphere has a lot of potential, the food simply didn’t justify the price or expectations.
Honestly, I would have chosen Apollo Café on Brady instead — it may not be a high-end experience, but the food is consistently much better. I hope Avli improves, because the space deserves a menu and execution to match.

Avli is one of the best restaurants in Milwaukee! The food is incredibly good, the service and ambience are wonderful also. The best saganaki anywhere! Everyone in our party of four ordered different things, and everyone was thrilled with their meals.
I've been to Avli twice now and both times the food has been phenomenal! The portion sizes are great! This time our service was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be coming back for brunch and for dinner again!

Great spot on the North side of town. Beautiful view of the city. Got there at 6pm on Friday and was pretty empty. Was full by 8pm.
Service was prompt, food was delicious. We got shrimp and Greek Freak burger. would recommend both. Also dessert was amazing.
We will go back as prices were reasonable for what you get.

Had a dreamy girls night in the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing catch-up. Our server, Alex, was simply phenomenal. He was extremely entertaining and engaged without hovering or over-stepping. He is gifted at what he does and Avli is lucky to have him! We look forward to returning. Such a wonderful portion for us two gals to be full of healthy food and have a full serving of leftovers to enjoy.
The food here is absolutely spectacular!! We ordered appetizers, shareable plates as well as individual dinners. The presentation, quality, and taste are 10/10. The staff were all friendly and outgoing....we'll definitely be back!!
Best pita bread I've had. Get the grilled octopus. My fave was the lamb chops. Yummmm. Server was very friendly. Can't wait to go back!
The food was good - and, of course, a great view. What always seems odd is if you are seated at a table during happy hour, they will not honor the happy hour specials. You are required to sit at a small bar top with about 10 seats within steps of the regular seating area. While it might seem like good business, it's not the best customer service. So, it's both about time of day and actually where you are seated. Disappointing!
