Battlebox Cafe & Lounge

I love this place! It’s members only entry and is full of like-minded gamers, anime watchers, and movie enthusiasts. It’s black owned and run by the connected BattleBox VideoGames store right next door. The events they host are usually some sort of theme (a few kid friendly ones, too) with drinks and food available. Prices don’t really go above $10 per drink and the food is pretty good. Music is usually based on the theme for the evening but always lit.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance is in the rear, but you have to call ahead of time to have help getting inside.

Where do I even begin.

I've known them for as long as I can remember, hell I've known these people since before the lounge, the shop, literally since they were doing things from their living room. How can I even explain the absolute feeling of actually being wanted, enjoyed and entertained.

Literally my second family and we have been through so much. And now to see their success in such a flourishing way, I couldn't be happier. They even welcome my son, calling him their Grandchild every now and again, it's amazing.

Such a place of inclusion, forethought and happiness. Every even I've been to been apart of, has been an incredible experience and the fact that they're around for fellow nerds like myself just makes me feel safe. Battle does a great job on making sure every member has gotten there and home safely. Honestly, amazing place and I cannot wait to continue to support this amazing community.

Thank you all for being in my lives because without this place I don't think I would have been able to meet amazing people with like minds so comfortably, even as a single mom, since he holds so many kids events!! My son LOVES meeting his "cousins" and I swear you all are like family.

I highly recommend the Battle Lounge to anyone who is looking for a safe, fun, welcoming nerd-anime-oriented oasis in the city of Milwaukee. There’s nothing else like it around, period. I drive almost an hour both ways from Sheboygan just to attend the many events that Battle hosts. They range anywhere from his Lord of Fighters video game tournaments, Wheelman racing tournaments, Rock Band/Guitar Hero/DJ Hero rave parties, live perfomances and comedy, fashion shows, anime watch parties, and more! People of all races and walks of life can share common ground over his unqiue assortment of house beverages which are exclusive to the Battle Lounge as well as excellent dishes such as jerk chicken, ramen, nachos, and I’ve even participated in his Hot Wing eating challenges. I’ve met so many wonderful people, had great oportunities to grow as a person and showcase my talents at events such as his Pop-Up shop, which allows people to advertise their business and connect with others as well Paint & Sip events I’m eager to attend in the future. There’s something here for everyone, no discrimination, no drama, just leave it at the door. I feel safe thanks to the closed door members-only policy, and I am able to relax and have a great time. That’s why I recommend the Battle Lounge to anyone who wants to see how diversely unique Milwaukee can be. This is a staple in the urban community and should be treated and recommended as such!

This is my favorite place to go and socialize! I’ve made life-long friends here and enjoy spending my weekend at the lounge. It’s a great place to be myself and have fun after a long week. There are a lot of themed parties that I love dressing up for ! Harry Potter, Dragon Ball, Halloween, etc! Battle himself is one of the most caring genuine people I know. He’d give the shirt off his back for any of his friends in need. He gives great advice to anyone who needs an ear and is always looking out for those around him. Those leaving negative comments and reviews on this page disrespected the lounge directly and now are upset that they are no longer welcome. It’s unfair to blame an establishment for your own dishonest and immature behaviors. If you’re looking for a great place to meet new like minded people, come hang with us. Everyone is welcome and I promise you’ll enjoy yourself! 🧡

This place is a safe and friendly environment for people of all kinds! There are even fun and safe events held for kids on occasion. Truly a great place to socialize, eat, drink & play games, and to generally just enjoy yourself with great people. Birthday events held here are AWESOME, and I truly appreciate the love and support given by not only the big man himself Battle, but by the other members of the lounge as well. A good place for shy people like myself to slowly get out of their comfort zone with nice people and make lasting connections!

I've known battle for years now and may I say what a ride it has been. very cool down to earth person once you get past his rough exterior. Great source for all your gaming needs and even advice when you least expect it. The community he's nurtured is thriving and always welcometo new members. We look forward to seeing you in our galaxy not to far away.

Chill place to go and hang, lots of fun.

Always lit at Battle Lounge with multiple themes and events its something for everybody!! I love the bar specialty drinks that I haven't seen anywhere else and the food is always on point! Membership required but it's free soo if you haven't been yet you're definitely missing out?
