Wonderful, unexpected meal. Wanted to eat light, what I got was that and exploding with flavor in the form of a stuffed pepper salad.

It was my first time at Bavette and everything was absolutely perfect! The attention to detail, food taste, service and outgoing, attentive staff are what stood out to me most. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and garlic aoli, WiscoPop Old Fashioned, Sangria, and pudding for dessert, and it was all delectable. I'll definitely be back!

Great food and outstanding service. Everyone working here was warm and attentive, providing a level of service that is too often missing in dining experiences.

Such a lovely restaurant. Beautiful, airy interior. Although the tables felt somewhat close to each other, the high ceilings still make it feel spacious. I also like that there's a little shopping area in the front.
The food was great, including some inventive dishes, and our server was knowledgable and accommodating. One of our friends had a nut allergy and she didn't make a big deal of it at all and ordered what she could, but since quite a few things on their menu included nuts, the restaurant was so kind in giving her one of the nut-free appetizers on the house for her to enjoy. I thought that was such a kind gesture that they didn't even have to do and my friend greatly appreciated it.

The apple and beet salad was great, but our sandwiches were not good. The roast beef was cold, the cheese not melted, and the roasted cherry tomatoes were made into a sweet ketchup like sauce that did not work well with the horseradish sauce. Bread was stiff.

We had a lovely lunch here over the weekend and everything was delicious. The deviled eggs, muffuletta, and heirloom tomato salad were delightful, as was the service. We will definitely be back!

Chef choice charcuterie was fantastic! I loved the honey spread and homemade crackers. The roasted carrot salad was very well balanced, the prunes with pistachios with baba ghanoush! The steak sandwich had a lot of flavors competing for first, the steak had a heavy char which did taste bitter.
The latte was awesome, I didn’t even add sugar.

Incredibly rude service bordering on racist. Plenty of tables open, but hosts made a huge fuss about reservations, sat in the worst table, and service was very slow. Others were seated no issue: Notably only one of the few black people in the restaurant. Disappointing as this looked like there was great food and a fun concept but would recommend staying away if you’re a person of color.

We liked our experience at this place. Fried chicken, roast beef, and reuben (tongue) was exceptional. Service was a little slow. But all together was a great experience

Had an amazing lunch in Milwaukee! Our server, Meg was super friendly, helpful, and gave us the best recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the deviled eggs, fresh salad, and the star of the meal, the Reuben. Great food and even better service!
