So let me start out by saying - definitely try this place. The food is pretty good, and very unique for a "taco place" . It's more like a taco bistro in my mind. It's really really cool. But the reason i took two stars for the food is because the ONE THING we went there for, was out, on a weekday afternoon at maybe 3pm. We went because i keep hearing about the "japapeno popper" taco with blueberry on the side. That was literally the reason for stopping in and they was the one thing they didn't have , ,?.But i did try the ninja pig , wish upon a taco. And the beef and jicama korean one. They were really good. Prices are ok, i wouldn't want them to be any higher but they are good for what you get. The atmosphere is great and the bar tender was really cool ?. Next time I'm calling ahead to make sure they have what i want to order.Parking: It's pretty crowded and you might end up parking down the street

Hair found in quesadilla as well as missing dips. Very disappointed after enjoying the last order.

Delicious Mexican/American food with the pleasant surprise of sweet plantains on the menu. Excellent customer service.

One of the more "'meh" meals I've had in recent memory. The restaurant itself is cool and service was above average, but the food was disappointing. Decent queso as an appetizer, but the entrees were lacking in flavor. I tried the spicy pollo bowl, which left me wanting more. Would suggest trying another restaurant in Milwaukee before heading to BelAir.

changed to 5 stars - I do not like Milwaukee tap water (unfiltered) but it is not your fault ;)

I've been here twice with my most recent visit on Sunday 2/25/24 around 7pm (which this review will be focused on). The restaurant wasn't packed, and we received great service (I wish I had caught our waiter's name, he was great!), and our appetizers, drinks, and food came out at a respectable time. I highly recommend getting the chips and salsa (comes with 3 types, all not too spicy). My group got a couple of tacos (great selection), birria burrito, and the carne asada burrito. The burritos were HUGE and could've fed 2 people. Since it was $5 margs happy hour, we all got a round and all of our flavors were great (watermelon, regular, and raspberry). I'd recommend looking up their latest deals since they're pretty budget-friendly. I highly recommend coming here and can't wait to come back!

This was my first time at the Water Street location. I've been to the Tosa one plenty of times. We came a little later in the evening around 8ish and there was a wait for a table so we asked to wait and just grab a drink at the bar while waiting on a table since there wasn't enough seating for us at the bar. Great service at the bar, speedy, well made margaritas. Our table was ready in about 15 minutes - we were seated and handed menus. After about 8-10 minutes we still had no server (or chips and salsa!) We caught the hostess when she walked by and asked if we could get waters, chips and our orders placed - she said she would get our server and get chips for us. Well she got chips for another table that just sat down and still nothing for our table. Several minutes later to the point where we almost walked out our server came over and we instantly ordered and asked for water, chips and salsa. I understand that we already had drinks but that was the only thing we had at that point. I was the only one with water left in my water cup the other two finished theirs. The food was really good- we had to ask a third time for the salsa as our guacamole came out with chips so they weren't planning on bringing us the salsa... it was a bit embarrassing because we were really talking up Bel Air to our new friend who is new to WI/MKE and had yet to try Bel Air. We told her it definitely was a one off hence a 3 star review still. The food of course was good. Just not great service that evening.

I really like the atmosphere of the place it was nice the staff were quick and friendly. I loved the food and drinks. I had the opportunity to try a few things out off the menu when I went. And everything was really delicious. It's a nice clean, people friendly atmosphere. Don't worry about missing any sports game. You would be able to watch them thier.Kid-friendliness: They have a very nice kids menu and they accommodate with booster seats..

BelAir..... long time customer and I'll just say it on behalf of the whole world - we miss $2 tacos. I even could get behind the tiered tacos (when it was $2-4 range depending what you got), but the fact that its $3 tacos just seems silly. The only perk of this $ increase is my husband did point out the tacos seemed bigger than previous orders we've had. Food was good, service was also good.

Today, I really wanted a burrito, so naturally I went to BelAir knowing they have amazing food and amazing staff. Until I met MATTHEW, this man was SO rude to me when I asked a very simple question. The tone in his voice and the way he glanced at me made me feel like a burden in his life. But, with Dane helping me with my order, he made me feel SO welcome and SO excited that I was a customer at this location. To be honest, Dane made my bad day go away. Not to mention the food was amazing!

Most items taste like they were poured from a can. Not authentic, fresh, tasty, or cheap. Good white queso is stringy and white, this is yellow and has the flavor and consistency of condensed cheddar soup. The mexican rice is largely unseasoned and tastes like it was made with Minute rice. The 'orange' salsa isn't fresh or flavorful. Tacos and quesadillas were... just okay, but the prices for these items are nonsensical. Even Taco Bell has cheaper items with more flavor, so I can't see any reason to ever eat here.
