Had dinner at the bar and served by Gary who not only was a superb bartender that made one of the best mojitos from scratch that I’ve had in a long time. I tasted their premixed mojito and it was too sweet. Pleasant to talk to, articulate and knowledgeable. From the moment we stepped into Movida at Hotel Madrid, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. But what truly elevated our Brunch was the incredible service we received from Carl. His attention to detail was phenomenal. He was prompt and efficient, yet always friendly and personable. It felt like he genuinely cared about ensuring we had a wonderful service.The food itself was outstanding. Whether you decide on the Spanish or Pink Breakfast you won’t miss. With a large party we order almost every entree. Every meal was perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. The cocktails were equally impressive. The tequila sangria is a must have. You won’t be disappointed! The atmosphere at Movida was vibrant and stylish, yet still comfortable. It was the perfect setting for a memorable Birthday Brunch.Overall, our experience at Movida at Hotel Madrid was truly five-star. The delicious food, amazing cocktails, and stylish atmosphere were all fantastic. But what truly made the morning was Carl's exceptional service. His attentiveness, friendliness, and genuine care made us feel like VIP guests. We will definitely be back to Movida and requesting Carl's section again!

I have an idea. Let's take something cool and ruin it. Good job! Hey, let's charge a service fee but give the service people little to none of that 18%. Success! Let's have patio seating to overlook street lights, dilapidated building construction, and a neighboring apartment building close enough to save you a Doordash by just having someone hand it over to you. Nailed it. Food was great per use. Service (imagine like a semi-golden locked Russell Brand but somehow cooler) awesome!!! All in all, my experience was surrounded in a subpar attempt to cheaply impress anyone who would not know any better. Congratulations.

This place is overall good. Overall I like the atmosphere, there’s not many places I know around Milwaukee like this. However, the prices are a little too much for such simple food. I paid $11 for two pieces of toast with some sauce on it basically. It tasted good, but again I think it’s definitely a little overpriced. The drinks are good. They charge a service fee on top of the bill. I think this place is good just a little overpriced for sure.

Scaling up can be hard. On the staff and the patrons. Tostas have turned into bread with assorted toppings rather than a more genuine experience. Order after order the same bread with a different twist on a topping. Rushed food mill. Started getting zucchini, asparagus etc just to avoid more disappointment. The garlic shrimp is still good. We received some alternative recommendations and look forward to transitioning our business. My wife joked that beer and pizza down the road would have beat the $160 we wasted.

We did the brunch special and were very satisfied with the price, drinks, and food. However the service was awful. After our entrees arrived, we waited 40 minutes for dessert, and then another 20 minutes because our server forgot to ring up one of the desserts. During that time, our server never came by to update us about the wait, top off our waters, or let us order another drink. When our bill finally arrived two and a half hours after we first sat down, we were overcharged and had to flag someone else down to help us fix it. It was disappointing seeing everyone else around us getting great service while we sat without service for a majority of our time.

First time we've not had a great experience here. They were out of several ingredients for drinks, sangria was not nearly as good as usual. Some food items were not fully cooked. And what Spanish tapas restaurant does not even have olives on their menu?? We have supported this restaurant since they first opened and have dined here dozens of time, but our run might be over sadly.

I really enjoyed the service and food! Unfortunately the ‘ automatic 18% service charge’ goes to the restaurant and not the waitress I had. I understand owning a local restaurant is not easy but this did make my bill higher than it needed to be since I am still leaving an additional tip for my waitress. Again, food and service was awesome though!

I don't leave many reviews, but I wanted to leave a review for Movida. We went early to take part in their happy hour. The $1, $3 and $5 tapas were fantastic. The ham croquettes were nicely presented and delicious! Although the Pan con Tomate was more like bruschetta than grated tomatoes, it was also tasty and presented well. I enjoyed the tequila sangria as well. It is easy to make an entire meal from the happy hour. We'll be back.
