Food - from Taco Moto food truck permanently in an adjacent space. *(which borders the river!!)
Atmosphere - dark hunting lodge with chandeliers, some pressed tin ceiling tiles, and oodles of racks and stuffed game animals or partial mounts!
Beer - of course!
Cocktails and creative mocktails.

Stopped in to kill some time before dinner, and I'm so glad I did! We walked in on a dog halloween costume contest, which was so cute. Everyone (staff and customers) was incredibly nice and easy to chat with. I will say this probably isn't the bar for you if you're super allergic to dogs as they are pet friendly

We came here as a larger group one evening during a wedding weekend, and while I can speak to the food, the drinks and the ambience were pretty great! The bartenders were really welcoming and friendly. We each had a few different types of cocktails and beers. If you like bourbon, I highly recommend the bourbon and coffee. It was a solid pick me up but also surprisingly very delicious. We ended up coming back here after the wedding itself too because it was a lovely evening the night before! The atmosphere inside is pretty cool too. Very dim and cozy feeling. We'll definitely be back here next time we're in Milwaukee.

One of my favorite bars in all Milwaukee. Service is very slow but you get plenty to look at with decoration

Got gin bramble and I’m a big fan. Lodgy vibe with plenty of animals on walls and a giant bear in front. Don’t serve food but there’s a taco truck out near parking lot. Went during a happy hour time which was nice. Rather Empty but it was a Sunday so it was expected. Cool covered outdoor seating with patio heaters. I’d come back for sure!

New Boone is such trash. The employees are incredibly rude, they have no idea what's going on or why taco moto isn't open on a Saturday as if they haven't been a part of this bar since the the beginning. But you have no idea what's going on?? The old Boone was worth talking about this one is complete trash.
Didn't have food, but the atmosphere is great! You drive up to an unsuspecting area and when you walk through the entrance it reveals a great hangout. Right by the river and good service. Fun place!

Great atmosphere to have a cocktail. The sewer stench goes away once you come inside the lounge.

Restaurantji Recommends
Went with a group of friends to use our Pub Pass which is good for one free beer. The bartender was very demeaning of us having the Pub Pass and said the offer is for $6 off a draft beer, so we're already off to a bad start. The beers were all priced at $9 or $10, and the bartender did not know what was on draft "since they rotate so much." The IPA from Lions Tail was borderline undrinkable, and the others we had were drinkable at best. The bar was not busy at all and by the time we had our beers and paid there was a line forming behind us. I would estimate it took the bartender 10 minutes to pour out beers and ring us up. We sat on the outdoor patio and had a nice time, but I would not recommend going here with the Pub Pass.

Bartenders were awesome. Staff was super nice. They hosted a massive party and didn’t have enough of them. Took an hour to get a drink for the Hoan bridge event.
Again, super nice people but managed by idiots.

Very cool stop. Came here for the Alpine Valley shuttle. Had tacos off the food truck and very reasonably priced drinks.
