Went for the Friday Fish Fry. It includes a buffet of fried and baked fish, and French fries. Plus several Mexican / Puerto Rican dishes: Rice, beans, salad, cheese enchiladas and chicken. The rice and beans were Puerto Rican style and delicious.
The fish appeared to be hand breaded, very light and with just a touch of spice.
Overall, a fun and unique fish fry experience.
The regular menu is not available Fridays, once the fish fry / buffet has started (5:00 pm).
So, we'll be back to try their breakfast and other regular menu items.
BTW, the Cafe El Sol is located in the basement of the United Community Center. Enter through the front door of the United Community Center. Ask at the front desk for directions or you may not find it!
Caché, the band playing, was awesome.
The buffet was mediocre, but the margaritas were delicious. The entertainment was wonderful as well.
Excellent place to eat with the family and delicious food.
Parking: Parking next to the road.

Buffet was meh. Chips and Salsa were tastier than the food.

What a hidden treasure. Food was buffet style. Adequate offerings. Service was good. Clean restaurant. Loved loved the live music.
Wheelchair accessibility: The elevator was not working. A flight of stairs to and from was our only option.

I thought the food was very, very good, the price was very reasonable, and both the atmosphere and service was excellent. Honestly the one complaint I have… is I was looking for a Mexican buffet. The web suggested this restaurant. When I checked the menu online, it didn’t confirm OR NOT confirm this. I came to eat here on a Wednesday around 12:50PM. I saw no indication of a buffet. After I ate, I inquired and was told the buffet is only offered Fridays! PLEASE , tell me where a person might acquire this information on the website or menu. And the funny thing was, I suspected all along that there wouldn’t be one. That said, I’ll be back because the food was not a disappointment. I will probably come on Friday.

The food tasted like white peoples food... Not Puerto Rican food that's authentic. And the money charged should have yielded larger portions... I had heard rave reviews about this place, I must have went on an off day..... Cause this place was not good.......

This is not the place to go for a fish fry. Over priced at $18 for gross over cooked fish, rice and beans. The salad is not a salad with a piece of lettuce and a tomato. To each their own but it's a no go ever again for my family.

We had fun. The food variety needs to improve on the Friday’s buffet. desserts and coffee should be added for $17.95 per person.

It was a little odd getting into the restaurant, but they have a great fish fry/buffet. Margaritas are definitely worth it. The staff was extremely nice and attentive, and the live music was fantastic.
