Every time I visit here the coffee is consistently delicious and well made and the baristas are above and beyond friendly. They are patient and kind in helping you decide what to order, and keeping your tab open in case you want to order again. They collect your dishes and make your visit very enjoyable. The food is always delicious as well. Definitely recommend visiting!!

Canary is a gem in the city. The atmosphere is industrial but very cozy and comfortable. The coffee is absolutely top notch. They are a multi-roaster shop that gets the best coffee from various top roasters around the country. Adam pulled me a perfectly balanced espresso and made a beautiful Chemex for my partner. We also had the lemon poppy muffins and they were delicious. Overall, knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled baristas, great product, and beautiful atmosphere. Must be on your list for Milwaukee coffee!
Excellent almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon, might be the best I've ever had! Also had fabulously fragrant green tea. Thank you for a wonderful coffee and tea experience (:

Nice espresso drinks. Got a cappuccino that had a nice latte art, and tasted chocolatey smooth - a light-to-medium roasted blend by the Sweet Bloom coffee roasters. Tasted straight medium to me though, just right there, not being overly dark. Nice selection of beans.Update: Changing the rating to 3. The chocolate croissant is super hard and not fresh. Incredible. Spoiled a better impression of the cappuccino a day earlier.Pour overs are OK, somewhat roasty.

Canary Coffee Shop in Milwaukee exceeded my expectations. The staff's friendliness stood out, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The coffee quality was impressive, delivering a satisfying brew. The almond croissant was a delightful accompaniment, perfectly flaky and flavorful. Though the overall atmosphere was just okay, the exceptional service and delicious offerings make it a noteworthy spot for coffee enthusiasts in Milwaukee.

Great third wave specialty coffee shop. Baristas are very knowledgeable. Many choices for pour over.
During sub zero temperatures, we were wandering in the area of Canary Coffee Bar when we were seeking a spot to warm up over a hot beverage.Enter Canary Coffee Bar.They have all the standard espresso beverages and some seasonal specialties. I ordered the salted caramel mocha from their seasonal menu, which was lovely. It was prepared as a usual caramel mocha with the addition of sea salt sprinkled atop the foam. This is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to prepare a salted caramel mocha.The espresso was smooth though not overly rich or strong (I prefer strong). The beverage was sweet by not overly so (which was good!).The service is kind. The atmosphere is chic and comfortable. We were able to hunker down for a bit and warm up before heading back out to brave the cold.Get to it!

This place is consistently good. A little too good even, I've genuinely considered gatekeeping this gem of a coffee shop. Whoever's in charge of the playlist needs a raise (they once skipped my favorite song within the first 10 seconds but I'll forgive that lol.) Beware that there will be way too many hot but quiet nerds just doing their thing here on any given day.Pictured below: rose cardomom latte and cherry almond muffin. 10/10. Perfect. No notes.
