My husband brought me here for my birthday because I was craving a steak. We met up with two other people and were seated near the main entrance area. It was extremely cold, though that wasn’t the main issue.
We ordered rock shrimp to share, but it was overwhelmingly salty to the point where we needed a sip of water after every bite. I mentioned it to our very polite waitress, and while she offered to notify the chef, I told her it wasn’t necessary.
I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes, cream of corn, and Brussels sprouts for the table. The steak looked delicious, but unfortunately, it was also excessively salty. The sides were delicious but that's it. My husband ordered the salmon and it was also extremely salty. This was very disappointing because my entire party said that there food was also extremely salty.
My husband had taken me here for my birthday about eight years ago and went above and beyond reserving a private area for our family and even having a custom menu printed with my name on it. I remembered the experience, but not the food, and now I understand why.

The food was amazing but not necessarily all worth the price. The tuna absolutely amazing but was $47 for 3 pieces. I've never had waygu before and it was amazing, worth every penny, and buttery. The lobster Bisque was a little shallow, but there were real pieces of lobster and it had a lot of depth.

We were lucky to get a seat at the bar, and it ended up being the highlight of the night. The bartenders were fantastic, super friendly and great at recommending dishes, and they served some of the most amazing drinks we’ve had in a long time. The steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Highly recommend!

We went their for my husband's 40th Birthday. The ambience is amazing and the staff is top notch. The wine my waiter Andrew recommended was delicious with the Wagyu steak. The free house made donuts for his birthday were such a special treat. 💕

Food was phenomenal. Went there for my husband's milestone bday before a show at the Riverside. We had the wedge salad, tomato mozzarella salad, Australian wagyu filet, Japanese wagyu filet, Mac and cheese (so rich and cheesy), and the truffle mashed with lobster (so much lobster). One of the best meals we ever had. Our server Gina was spot on. I had a martini with bacon blue cheese stuffed olives - mind blowing. We were so full but they brought out some mini donuts with sauces and a candle to celebrate, they were delish. Really nice touch. We are still full a couple days later, lol. Highly recommend this place! We got there early and the whole place was full on a Wednesday when we left. Thank you for an amazing meal.

I went to Carnevor for my birthday and was a bit disappointed. We got seated and instantly had a server asking us what we wanted to drink and handing us a drink menu which we said we needed a bit to look over. She then came back very quickly after asking us if we were ready to order drinks or appetizers. We still had barely had any time to look at the drink menu as it’s huge. After ordering drinks and a soup and placing a food order right away. It was quiet and nice. But once the food came it’s like every 5 seconds somebody was coming to the table to ask if we were done eating and trying to take the plate away even while my husband was clearly still chewing his food and cutting his steak. They were trying to take his plate away, which I feel is absolutely insane when you are paying $200+ per person at a restaurant. It felt extremely rushed and was not a great experience, it’s not like we sat there and talked all night or were taking up a ton of time. We were there for a hour but the whole experience was not great. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Food was delicious, but the service was very slow and ambience was offputting. It took 50 minutes to get our appetizer on a slow Thursday night. The restaurant was also overly dark and extremely loud. I was expecting a somewhat intimate experience but we could barely hear each other across the table, I struggled to understand what the server was saying and the music kept changing in volume the entire duration of our dinner. It sounded like a child playing with the volume knob. The music selection was also strange.

Unfortunately they moved our reservation made for Valentine’s Day 3 weeks in advance to Tuesday the 17th without notifying us. We showed up and were told that they moved the reservation due to being over booked. We were apologized to but not accommodated. If we had been notified we could have possibly made a reservation elsewhere but now it is too late and we are left without a place to go. If you are going to book here for any special occasion on busy date please be aware that they may do this to you. Our Valentine’s Day plans are now ruined and will probably be having to get fast food or something lol - so much for a romantic dinner. The valet people were also incredibly rude. I would recommend you book elsewhere. I was looking forward to eating here but it’s very unlikely we will ever reserve again. Very frustrating.

Went here for my birthday and while my steak was wonderful my meal was destroyed by the feeling of being rushed. My wife's meal was over salted. We ordered three apps then a bowl of soup. The soup came before the apps, then they brought all three apps at once right after the soup. Every few seconds a busser would try and take away dishes that we barely touched so they could bring out the entrees. Ive never felt so rushed in my life. I guess service and food appreciation is dead.

My girlfriend and I visited Carnevor on 2/5 to celebrate my birthday. This was our first time dining here, and we were genuinely excited for the experience. Unfortunately, the evening turned out to be very disappointing.
We were seated early and our waiter got our drinks out quickly, so things started off well. I ordered the bone‑in filet (medium) and my girlfriend ordered the dry‑aged ribeye (medium‑rare). When the steaks arrived, though, both were cooked nowhere near what we requested. The first cut into my filet revealed an extremely rare, almost purple center—so undercooked that I couldn’t eat it.
What made the situation worse was the lack of attention. Our waiter was nowhere to be found for several minutes, and with no check‑in from staff, we ended up swapping plates so at least one of us could try to eat before everything went cold.
A manager eventually came over and attempted to “make things right” by offering a round of drinks and a dessert. For a restaurant that positions itself as a high‑end steakhouse, I was honestly shocked that this was considered an acceptable resolution to poorly cooked entrées. In the end, the steaks were wasted, the experience was diminished, and we still left with a $300 bill and no real sense that the issue was taken seriously.
For what we hoped would be a memorable birthday dinner, Carnevor missed the mark entirely.
