⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Cavas is a great spot for a date night or special meal. It’s guaranteed you will have a personal experience and delicious food. Make sure you book in advance! It’s a small restaurant with only a few tables.

If you’re looking for good paella in Milwaukee - look no further. The chorizo was amazing and had a great spice.

The menu is easy to understand - there is either an 8 course menu or you can paella (which comes with an appetizer, dessert, and cava, sparkling wine). Because it’s a small operation, you pretty much pick from a few options.

When we walked in, we were greeted by Chef, who is a wonderful cook but also so welcoming and kind. The service was very personal, which added to the dining experience.

It’s hard to pick if I preferred the appetizer, the Valenciana paella, the flan, or the bread pudding. They were all delicious! I will say, the flan was unique in a way that I really enjoyed.

Overall, I’m looking forward to returning here on a cold winter night or a long summer evening.

Wasn’t a Customer but was racially profiled outside of their establishment while waiting for friends to arrive for our night boat ride the bartender seen 4 black adults outside of the establishment, she came from around the bar and locked the door to prevent us from entering and once we knocked and asked why’d she locked the door she said it was because they have “reservations” as if to say we’re not welcomed and didn’t have the decency to even ask us if we had reservations prior to locking the doors. It was 7pm and they didn’t close until 9… we had no intentions on patronizing the restaurant but it’s clear that they didn’t want to service us anyway.

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and it was perfect. We did the 8 course prix fixe menu and every single course was incredible!!! It is a small space (only five tables) and Chef Ana & her husband, which made it a very intimate and lovely experience! I truly think the empanadas (with slow roasted pork, caramelized onions and goat cheese and chimichurri) were some of the best I’ve ever had!! I can’t stop thinking about them and I can’t wait to come back and try their paella for two. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

We had the best time at Cavas!! Truly an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and taken care of. We had the 8 course menu and we loved EVERY dish. So many delicious flavors and some things we'd never tried before. Chef Ana and her husband were so lovely. Highly recommend the Sangria and Spanish Old Fashioned cocktails! We will definitely be back to try the paella!

Once again, chef Ana and her team delivered! Our 2nd time here and we brought our friends this time. They are HUGE foodies and very particular... gave it a 10/10 and said it might be the best restaurant they've eaten in♥️♥️

The food was spectacular! Every dish was innovative and delicious; you can tell the chef put skill, love, and care into each plate. I loved the intimate setting. The decor is beautiful. The chef and her husband are wonderful.

A truly outstanding experience. We did the eight course meal and loved each course. We'll do the paella meal next time. This is a very small, intimate location in the Third Ward. Great cocktails and wines.

I don't know where to start. Cavas is special. From the moment you walk in, you realize you didn't walk into just any place. There are only about 5 tables and about the same bar seating. Reservations are a must. It's a very intimate and cozy experience. You're in for a real treat. You only have two options, an 8 course meal or a paella meal. We chose the paella. We had a delicious mushroom appetizer with it. The paella was out of this world. We also got a bottle of wine and dessert with the meal. All amazing. We ordered some specialty drinks too. All amazing as well. Nothing we had was mediocre. We even had empanadas to go. Also amazing. We will definitely be back to try the 8 course. Probably on empty stomachs. Chef Ana and her husband have created such an intimate and unique dining experience that you really must try at least once. You will not be disappointed. Unless you don't like food.

My only regret was that I didnt live In Milwaukee (such that I could have a routine of coming every 6 weeks or so ) and that I didn't have an extra stomach to accommodate a meal of only beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce . But putting this aside , as soon as we walked into Cava, we knew we knew we were in store for a fabulous evening - greeted warmly by the owner, Anna , the incredible scents wafting thru the door , an attentive & friendly but not intrusive waiter, lively music , interesting pieces on the bar shelf ( a bull, a slide show of pics from Madrid and other places in Spain , the more you looked , the more you saw ) , intimate tables, a place to hang my purse, beautiful table settings with unique/interesting plates , glassware, utensils — easy, elegant sophistication . It's hard to speak in complete sentences about such a wonderful evening - the start with the aperitif of vodka, rosemary, lime , black pepper , and tbd ; a kickass martini , rose wine, the teaser to start of creamed corn with cheese , cream and a touch of heat ; a salad ; a quasi charcuterie board with sautéed mushrooms , a cheese dish with honey and lavender , high quality jamon , tomato jam , manchego cheese , bread , olives ; lamb chops , stuffed pepper with lamb ; paella with chicken and chorizo , beef empanadas; I'm forgetting other fabulous things ; bread pudding dessert ; omg !! Yes , we loved it ? . The service was superb , the food to die for , the atmosphere- so special ...

An amazing dining experience from Chef Ana. Our party opted for the Mixta Paella which provided ample servings of delicious paella chocked full of mussels, shrimp, chicken, chorizo and was simply delicious! The experience began with a lovely 'welcoming cocktail' of homemade vermouth (infused vodka) and Cava sparkling. This was followed by a delicious starter of oven baked mushrooms and Spanish cheese. The meal included a bottle of sparkling Cava (we opted for 100% chardonnay though a rose option is available). Dessert featured exquisite flan or bread pudding which were fantastic finishes to an amazing meal. We cannot wait to return for the seven-course tasting menu. Setting is intimate, festive and welcoming! Thank you!!

I’m shocked by the high rating after dining there recently. We have the eight-course prefix menu. The place is advertised as a tapas restaurant but the food is nowhere resembling the food I had when traveling across Spain. The main course is especially poorly done. Both the lamb and duck breast are overcooked. One side of the lamb chop is completely dark. On top of that, the size of the lamb chop and duck breast is tiny, even smaller than what you would get as an appetizer in some other restaurants. All other 7 courses in the prefix menu are mediocre. Every course has lots of garnishment like rosemary and flowers but the food itself is just so-so. The chef comes by our table during each course. While seemingly friendly, she has an air of superiority and constantly fishes for compliments. When we are still having our main course, she starts putting chairs up on other tables, sending signals that we’d better be hurry. In sum, very overpriced for the quality of the food and a chef with a condescending attitude. Two stars for the friendly waitress.

This place is a real GEM. New fav MKE resto. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Small, intimate, romantic space with beautiful table settings. Tasting menu with wine pairings was phenomenal. Normally too much food for me, but this was just perfect. All dishes were so delish and thoughtfully prepared. Ana and her husband are the most gracious hosts. We will be back again and again . So glad we found Cavas. ?

The overall experience was excellent. The food was great, the service was on excellent, but it was the overall experience that made the night remarkable. Chef Ana shows her passion in everything. We will definitely be back.
