Great food, but the kitchen management was a disaster. I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have always really enjoyed the food, which is why this recent visit was so disappointing. While the food is still good the service and timing this time around were absolutely terrible. Despite the restaurant being less than half-full, we waited over 90 minutes for our order. When the food finally arrived, our drinks, appetizers, and main entrees all came out at the same time. The food was good, but absolutely not worth the wait. Our server was actually great. He was attentive and polite, and we honestly felt bad for him. It was obvious that the delay had nothing to do with him and everything to do with how poorly run the kitchen was. I really love the menu here, but it’s hard to justify a return trip if the dining experience involves over a 90-minute wait. Management needs to get the kitchen back on track immediately; no matter how good the food is, a restaurant cannot survive this level of operational failure.

We made reservations a week in advance. We get here at 7pm. Multiple starters were not available and the food took an hour to come out. The drinks also took forever to come out. If you are expecting a large party you should be prepared. Isn’t that why we are make reservations. First and Last time. Had very high hopes for this visit.

We live in the neighborhood and have now tried Char’d twice. While the food is excellent, the service has been abysmal on both occasions. On our most recent visit, the kitchen was backed up by over an hour despite the dining room only being about half full. We finally gave up after 90 minutes and left. The staff is friendly but it seems like management has not put them in a position to succeed. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant.

This past weekend, we waited over an hour for our appetizers to arrive (one of which they delivered to the wrong table and which never arrived despite the staff's assurance they were re-firing it). Ninety minutes after ordering with no main courses delivered, we gave up and left. The dining room was only about half full at the time. It's a shame they can't get the management right because the food is fantastic.

I went with three friends and we had a lovely dinner on a very cold night. We all seemed to enjoy our food, and we were comfortable in the relatively quiet space. Not sure I would return, but it was good.

We showed up just before our reservation and were seated pretty quickly. They took our drink and appetizer order. Cucumber kimchi was brought to the table as their free appetizer, but we didn't get silverware or plates for another 10 minutes. Our appetizer arrived and we still hadn't gotten silverware so we had to sit and wait. It took over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, well after we had finished both appetizers and had ordered food. Our waitress was very cold and never seemed to check in on us. As we were still finishing eating our meals, she comes over and asks if we want the check. Never asked if we wanted another drink, dessert, how the meal was, etc. The restaurant wasn't even busy so we were very shocked at the service. The prices are very high for the amount of food you receive. The spicy udon with beef only had a few small pieces of meat and was barely spicy. The sauce was very watery and didn't stick to the noodles at all. We likely will not return.

Excellent food and friendly enough staff. Prices were very reasonable, except the appetizers. $15 for 4 wing sections is crazy. Again, would definitely return and skip the apps.

Once upon a time, this establishment had five stars from me. In my original review, I reported that staff was very friendly and that the kitchen produced delicious meals, including ribs with meat that practically melted off the bone. I also raved about the croiffles - the perfect dessert. During my group's last visit, the menu had shifted. The ribs were no more, and the croiffle was not being served. This was a particularly annoying outcome because when I called the restaurant to book a large-group reservation, I specifically raved about the ribs and croiffles, only to show up the following day to a dose of double disappointment. The staff was still friendly. The location was still nice, but the menu changes did not go over well with my party.
