To begin I called to place my pickup order he was very rude and rushy. Didn’t want to answer questions much at all. I asked how long until pick up and he said 10 minutes and then proceeded to ask me so you’re coming so you’re coming I said yes hung up the phone 10 minutes later. I’m getting a call from an unknown number. I answer and it’s him saying my Food is ready And am I coming? I responded yes I just told you that I’m on my way. I get there and he tells me the total and it’s about 14 extra dollars then what it supposed to be according to his online menu him more online Says? He proceeds to tell a snippy attitude online old online old. I told him well you updated it misleading. My total was supposed to be 24. It ended up being $38.63. He adds an extra $.50 if you’re using your card I’m already frustrated. Already overwhelmed. I go to my car and get cash. $100 bill. He doesn’t know that I’ve already done the math on my phone and continues to Give me my change, which is short I confront him that my change is wrong and he clueless and then proceeds to give me the correct change He is finishing up my order. He is throwing my drinks in the bag and why are you throwing my drink? Have a misleading menu are overcharging and giving me incorrect change on purpose? Overall rude and not buisness like at all . My catfish didn’t have any flavor my pizza puff was pretty much empty just crust.

PORTILLO'S WHO???
I don't live in the area, so this is my first time here. Was roaming around, trying to find something to eat, and I ran across this spot. They have a very nice variety on their menu. Such as Chicago, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, gyros and more. I had an Italian beef because I always love those and heaven had one in awhile.and I was certainly not disappointed.! I don't care for Portillo's Italian beef at all. I don't go there.I find it they are overpriced and just average tasting. This sandwich was was hot and fresh, loaded with meat, and I just thoroughly enjoyed it. The deal I got was the sandwich, an order of fries and a can of soda, and I think it came to around .$12. Also a very impressive variety of sodas to choose from.
The man behind the counter was very nice and friendly, and I definitely, will be back there next time.I am in that area.

Lucky the food is good. Don't look for anything else. A little piece of the windy city nestled in a working class neighborhood. The Jim show sandwich was a hearty meal for a relatively good price. The atmosphere is dominated by the bulletproof plastic that keeps the riffraff out of the kitchen. There's also the 1950s Formica and the guy behind the counter who asks "No tip today?" But not in a nice way.

Well being from Chicago I was excited to see what I thought would be authentic Chicago food. I was very disappointed as the pictures displayed was far from the food I received. The Chicago hot dogs were fried not steamed so they were wrinkled and not good, no poppy seed bun, neon green relish was non existent, got chopped tomatoes not wedges and then no celery salt. By the time I got home in the other side of town I was already tired and not driving in the snow to return this mess. I asked for a double dipped Italian beef but somehow the bag was the only thing wet because that wasn’t the same Italian beef I’ve loved in Chicago. Pizza puff wasn’t hitting neither was the fries. Overall the $24 I spent was more like a donation because nothing about that order was worth giving high praises for. Very disappointed and will not be returning!

I got food poisoned. I'm talking throwing up uncontrollable, at the same time having diarrhea. I spent about 30 dollars on food. I will never visit this place in my life again. The only reason they are not sued is because nt fiance accidentally threw the food in the garbage before I can have it examined.

The food is always fresh and hot, the man behind the counter is always nice and patient while you place an order, and mild sauce is extra but it's worth it because it's the only place that understands me when I ask for extra miles sauce on everything. The chicken wings and sandwiches come with plenty for a fair price. I also love the hours because if I wake up in the middle of the night hungry, I know I can go to them and their menu has a lot of options. You can't go wrong here.
