Went to taste the beer and food on a Tuesday night and the beer especially the Maibock was excellent, but the kitchen was closed all day. Maybe could've been 5 star, but I'll try again soon.

Be aware of the mandatory 20% tip. On the menu it is stated that it's to "ensure fair compensation and eliminate the sub-minimum wage". But rather than paying their employees a respectable wage it's expected that you cover it. Beers are meh.

Fish fry was very good, service was very good. However I have a very big problem with them putting on a 20% tip automatically! A tip has always been defined as extra money given for the services received, emphasis on extra. I noticed on their website they say it's a "service charge" but you can tip extra if you want to!! They also use the excuse that the workers in the front and the back can be "ensure fair compensation and eliminate the sub minimum wage". They can all share whatever the tips are, it wouldn't matter if it was 5% or 30% but more to the point pay all your workers a decent wage! Increase the cost of the food if you have to (your prices include rent light heat cost of the food etc etc - add living wage in it too). Forcing me to give a 20% tip automatically is not a tip at all (btw I usually do tip 20% but I decide.) This trend (Company Brewing isn't the only) seems to be happening more and more with all sorts of additional charges added on to what you think the price is going to be. This has got to Stop! (The 20% service charge was actually more than 20% being 20.55% which seems strange.)

Company is one of my all-time faves in the Riverwest neighborhood. The ambiance is top-notch, feeling cozy but contemporary and cool all at once. The staff are all gems, especially Leyna and Justin who are rockstars at what they do (shoutout Tuesday nights!) The food is excellent for the cost, and I always leave with leftovers for the next day. And I love love love their live events. The acoustics and audio quality are exceptional, and the bands they invite to play are awesome acts. I don't drink, so I can't speak to their cocktails and beer, but my wife says their wares are delicious and of the highest quality. If you're on Center St. and looking for a great place to spend the evening, I highly recommend Company Brewing!

Company is an exquisite local brewery/bar & restaurant on the Center Street, the central hub of the Riverwest neighborhood. Their selection of beers and coktails can't be matched. They also are super supportive of the local indie music scene of Milwaukee. They have cool live performances on their incredible stage every other weekend.
We came here for a few drinks and also had dinner. They have a pretty good tap list with a lot of different styles. The food was good, we had cheese curds and chili with an added grilled cheese. There was a Packers game on and they were also getting ready for a New Year's Eve event so it was pretty busy. Service was very good as we were right before an expected rush and they had a lot of people working.

Every time I come here the chicken is burnt. The beer is good but the food and service is not there. We keep trying, hoping it will improve but for $100+ for 4 people it is not worth the disappointment.
