I like this little place! We stopped in prior to a show at The Rave. It was surprisingly good! I got the smoked brisket and it was SO good! I really wasn't expecting such great BBQ from a little place in Milwaukee, but that was a truly pleasant surprise! My husband got the meatloaf and it was good too. Enjoyed the cheese curds and the onion rings as well. Next time we are in the area, good chance we stop in to this little place. Bartender was really friendly, crackin' jokes and having a good time behind the bar.

I have lived near this place my whole life and heard great things about the food. I am an avid bbq person, kinda particular on where I get it from because it is hard to find a good bbq spot here in the city.I can say that I was pleasantly surprised that the bbq tasted alright. Very smoky, which can be overwhelming to some. I like to taste the grilled flavor and the natural smokiness in my bbq meats and I got that flavor in the ribs. I ordered the ribs combo w/beans and potato salad, but they didn't have any salad so I had to get the slaw. I didn't so much enjoy the beans though. Everything else was fine. I would like to try something different from the menu, so I will return to do that. I waited about 30 mins to get my food, which is a long time, but it was around 9pm when I placed my order and only 1 person preparing the food, so I understand. Just had a taste for bbq and wanted to try Conways out!Overall nice spot, just come early and be prepared for the smokiness!

Ambience, they used to do a Wednesday night open jam session where musicians could come in and play with other musicians. Great to watch, drinks were buy 1 get one. Owners were always on scene and were great at providing welcoming service.

Unassuming bar with great grub and friendly working owners. The ribs are delicious; tender & meaty with just the right sauce caramelized on them. Get the Big Johnson and ribs come with 2 sides making it a really filling meal at a very fair price. The burger is really good and comes with well seasoned fries.The owners work as the chef and waiting on people. Very friendly folks that take the time to connect with their customers.Highly recommend Conway's.
The owners are great and this classic bar will take you back. Great bar food too.

When I first walked in I felt like I was at a friend's house and was directed towards the kitchen where I meet a man named Big Johnson. When I say this guy was extremely friendly and shared some passionate stories about his barbeque history so needless to say the food reflected his love for smoked meats. My friend and I woke up the next day wanting more but unfortunately they are closed on Sunday... Can't wait till Wednesday so I can try some more.

A nice tucked away spot with delicious eats. Highly recommend the rib platter. The ribs were tender enough for your teeth to pull it away with ease but still enough hold on the bone; they were smoky with some crispy bits and the sauce wasn’t too sweet like most places.
