Okay so I finally tried Dandan and honestly I’m still thinking about it. I ordered the Dandan Noodles, Spicy Pork Dumplings, and a Cucumber Salad, and I kind of just sat there taking a second after the first few bites because it was that good. The Dandan Noodles had this rich, slightly nutty flavor with heat that sneaks up on you but in a good way, and the texture of the noodles was spot on. The Spicy Pork Dumplings were juicy and a little crispy on the outside, and I probably could have eaten another order without thinking twice. The Cucumber Salad sounds simple but it was super fresh and helped cool everything down between bites. The place itself felt fun but not in an overwhelming way, just busy enough to feel exciting. Service was smooth and friendly, nothing dramatic, just people doing their job well. I left full, happy, and already planning what I would try next time because there is no way I’m not going back.
This is a long overdue review! We visit DanDan often and order takeout on a regular basis as well. We love having them in the neighborhood! Service is always on point! Our favorites are the Crab Rangoon with the Blue Crab! And Walnut Shrimp. We love to engage with the servers and ask lots of questions. They always seem to make time for us!

4 stars on food because some of their dishes are actually very good, like the Orange Chicken and the Salt and Pepper Cod. We also ordered the Peking Duck and honestly the flavor profile of the soup and the noodle dish was so similar it was a bit disappointing.
What to me brings it down to 3 stars is the timing. We ordered 3 appetizers, and each one of those appetizers arrived at the table at a different time. Same thing with the 4 entrees that we ordered: didn't all arrive at the same time. That means our table had some people eating, and some people waiting on their food. It was just unpleasant.

Food overall was good. I would say a lot of 7/10s for the 3 items we had. Service was slow but it was a Friday night. Still only being a 2 top you’d expect to be in and out in less than 2 hours. We did find a bb pellet size bit of metal in my fiancées noodles. I understand things happen and the manager comped the meal which was nice. Overall a disappointing evening from a place we were very excited to try.
