Great Sports bar , Great Owner.
One staff member was so rude. She literally went out her way to harass me about a hood I took off already. She seemed racist. Other than that one bad apple of a staff member. Every thing else we’re great.
It was a good night

An Absolute Joke – Duke’s Is a Waste of Space and Time.
THIS BAR IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE.
If you’re considering going to Duke’s, don’t bother. This place has completely hit rock bottom, and it’s clear no one, especially the owner, gives a damn. The owner is unbelievably rude and has flat-out made it known in a conversation "I don't care whether you come here or not." The former owner could never. Why? Because the new owner's got other locations that funnel money into his pockets. So, your business means absolutely nothing to him.
The atmosphere is nothing short of depressing. Whatever decorations once gave the place some semblance of life have been stripped away, leaving the bar looking like a rundown and that’s given up on trying. No vibe, no energy, no crowd—seriously, there’s hardly anyone there anymore, and who could blame them?
It’s painfully obvious that Duke’s is circling the drain. The owner’s apathy is contagious, and it shows in every detail. Even the bartenders hint that this place just isn't it anymore...ouch. The place is soulless, and it’s a miracle the doors are still open at this point. There’s zero excitement, no reason to ever set foot inside, and if you do, you’ll regret wasting your time and money.
Save yourself the disappointment and go anywhere else there are plenty of better options around the corner, or across the street.

I really don’t understand all the five star reviews of this place. I was here coincidentally when that orange clown came into town for the RNC to speak and this bar was close to dead empty. They offered no bar snacks or food and the beer on tap was flat as hell so I had to switch to Guinness. I was surprised at the fact that this being Milwaukee and all the beer selection was very limited and the pitcher size was laughable. They gave us these tiny 12 ounce glass cups to drink out of instead of beer mugs ????♂️. I can honestly say I did not enjoy my time here. By the way, the place could use a good cleaning and dusting, especially around that window area at the very entrance, I spent the whole time looking at all the cobwebs accumulated throughout.
has this place become a black bar

I like the atmosphere of this bar, and the bartenders are rather friendly, but the beer on tap tastes horrendous. They need to clean their lines more often and rotate their stock.Hopefully they do this soon because everything else about the bar is nice.

Don’t come here if you look like you’re from out of town. Stopped in tonight to grab a drink before the Pacers v Bucks game. I couldn’t even tell who the bartender was because no one was behind the bar for about 5min. Went to the bathroom and when I came out the blonde woman who was off to the side socializing decided to work again. She clearly could tell I was wanting to order earlier and then ignored me again to attend to other patrons on the other side of the bar. When she finally got to me after I had to chase her down, I asked for a Coors light-she said she was out. I asked for a Busch light-she was out. And finally I asked for a Miller light-she was out. What a pathetic excuse of a bar to straight up refuse to serve someone for no justified reason. Go literally anywhere else.

Personally coming from a larger city like Chicago, it's hard to find the nostalgia of a good dive bar with great service, good music, and phenomenal service at a low price. Duke's fits just that. I frequent for a light beer after a long lifting session down the street, and it's always a comfort zone. Our bartender, Hailey, is always looking to top us off, never leaving us unattended. She pours the perfect drink every time, and always provides top notch service. I'll always frequent Duke's, and no one can turn down $1 taps and $2 rails every day for HH!!!
Parking: There is plenty of parking in front of venue, as well as some on water street just north of the venue.
