“Great effing pasta” is an understatement - the food at Egg & Flour is incredible! Great dishes, a cool atmosphere and reasonable pricing from world-class chefs including a Milwaukee legend. Love E&F!

Horrible experience. After eating here I got food poisoning. I used to love coming here but this past year the quality has been dropping significantly and yesterday I got sooooo sick. Vomiting and cold sweats. I am very disappointed

Truly a gem in the heart of Bay View! The pesto bucatini is to die for, mouthwateringly rich & flavorful. Good atmosphere, friendly staff… great fricken pasta! 🍝 🔥

I can't rate it but I'm watching him on beat bobby flay! And I had to check it out ,I'll definitely stop in ,it all looks great 👍
Fresh pasta. Good beverage selection. Delishhhh pasta perfection! Quick service!
Had a unique opportunity to experience the process lived and in person of making of the pasta. It truly is egg and flour, and after a lot of hard work, it is quite delicious. The challenge is to experience all the different combos of pasta and sauces. As an added flex, they also feature the best Chicky Parm sandwich in town. One of the rare examples of can't miss on anything menu. One of these days, I'll get there on a Friday for the Lobster Mac.

The pasta was over-cooked. The sauce was luke-warm and bland. $17 for pasta, sauce, and mushrooms? Not a good value at all.
The people with me liked the Boulonnaise sauce they had.

For 5pm on a Friday night, we got right in. The wait for food was minimal and worth every minute. I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese -- the Friday special. I even opted for zucchini noodles as a gluten free option. Yum on all angles!! The sauce was light & tasty, the lobster chunks were large, and the zucchini noodles were a delightful alternative to pasta.

Repeat customer. Food has always been good, and the prices are fair. Cashier, however, got 2 items wrong on our order. Cheese bread was not added, and when I picked up the order, the lady working with the food dismissed that it was a mistake and just said we would have to re-order it without even apologizing. Also I ordered the special "Boo‐catini" that looked really good, and I got the standard bucatini, again I asked if there was a mistake and the lady said "you got what you ordered, look at the receipt" and turned away. It was not busy either, there were less than 20 ppl inside.
I like the food, the place has energy, but that service was really disappointing. I will remember that next time if I go back.

We came for my birthday dinner because our 2-year-old loves pasta and we thought she would enjoy it. We ordered The Adam for me, Carbonara for my husband, buttered Shells for our daughter, and Cheese Bread to share.
I really liked the Bolognese sauce and Burrata on The Adam. It was also great for dipping bread. I did not enjoy the pappardelle pasta, in particular. The wide and long shape was unwieldy to eat with a fairly soupy (but delicious) sauce. I had to cut them up to eat without a mess, but the bowl and Burrata (which was great) made it difficult to cut the pasta. I would have chosen a smaller, bite-sized/spoon-sized shape or long and skinny shape for this dish.
The Carbonara was great, in his opinion. Definitely recommended.
The butter shells were uninteresting and unimpressive. They were very large. Too big even for a toddler who routinely overfills her mouth. These needed to be cut in half for her to eat. Again, the bowl made this challenging. I would also say the portion size was too large, though we did ask for less, even for a kid who can put away some mac and cheese.
The vibe here was "college campus frat hangout". Loud-ish rock music, black walls, graffiti -esque art, dimly lit bathrooms with posters of glamorous/sexy people eating pasta, video game machines, string lights.
On a Thursday night it was not busy at all, though several to-go orders were picked up while we ate, reinforcing the vibe. Granted, we came at toddler dinner time of 5:30-ish.
I also got an Odyssea Spiced Peach Sangria (in a can). It was alright/not very memorable.
The service was a bit lackluster. Another vibe of college-kid job.
Overall it was a frustrating but tasty birthday dinner. The Bolognese sauce and Burrata were the highlight for me. If I could buy a pint to take home, that would be great. We'll probably stick with boxed pasta with browned ghee and parm for our daughter for now.
Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians.
Parking: This is a very busy area of Bay View. Street parking is available, but you will need to walk a distance.
Kid-friendliness: There is not a kid menu. There is at least one high chair.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance to the restaurant has a ramp-like incline. Tables and chairs can be easily rearranged.

This place deserves way more than a 4.4 rating. It’s AMAZING FRESH PASTA. We loved it!! I had the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese and Carbonara! They were both DELICIOUS!! The table next to us had the Cheese Bread and Rigatoni with Burrata. They were RAVING about it!!!
We watched the chef take the freshly made pasta and prepare it for us! It’s clearly a local favorite because the place was packed at lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant!
