My last visit to this restaurant was over 25 years ago, so during our recent visit to Milwaukee it was a delight to find it again. The bacon wrapped water chestnuts were delicious, but our burgers were so freaking goooood!! The best part though, our waiter Jack. He was so fun and had this full out belly laugh that was contagious. Great food, fun service, we really enjoyed our walk down memory lane.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I came with my sister who lives out of state. It’s her fave restaurant. Our server Steve was phenomenal! My sister’s favorite item isn’t on the menu anymore and Steve asked what it was and said that they could still make it so she got what she was wanting. I couldn’t decide between the grilled cheese and the Caesar salad salad so I asked if I could substitute fries for a side of a Caesar salad. Steve told me that wasn’t allowed, and that he could only do a regular side salad with either ranch, cheese, or balsamic. But then magically when my food came out, it was with a side Caesar salad. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is fun.

The issue here is not the food. It’s good. Not great just good Really only worth 2.5 stars. Definitely not something I would ever come back for The service was very good the atmosphere is what is it. Upscale. The issue is the prices. They are laughable. Please make sure you consult your financial investor before coming here. It almost a joke. I guess that’s why there were so few people here on a Saturday evening So many other places in Milwaukee to go to that has much better food than this. Now if you want to simply pay for the atmosphere and have a nice chat with a bartender or waiter Then this is your place If it not and you are looking for something of quality in your meal I suggest you go on down the road Elsa’s is an overrated establishment and not worthy of its prices in what you get back. Don’t believe. Dine at your own financial risk

Whose bright idea was it to change the menu? Elsa’s has been successful for decades. The food WAS fabulous. This is heartbreaking. I will never eat there again!! Good luck with that disgusting.

Menu is completely different - everything I went there for is gone. No, nachos, wings, hells fries, just broccoli....no more 😥
Tipping is automatically added to every check, so be aware - not a huge fan of getting automatic gratuity on check but there must be some reason for it.
Still a cool spot but just disappointed that all of the funenu items are gone 😐

I've been coming here for over 30 years (I'm 50 yo) but it's progressively gotten WORSE. It's obvious Karl Kopp no longer runs his signature jewel, Elsa's on the Park. The restaurant, itself, is beautiful but it no longer stands out as a premier burger place, regarding the food and service. The waffle fries are GONE (BIG MISTAKE) as are the silver bowls that many items used to be served in. Now, it's just a place that offers half pound burgers on white cafeteria plates with little silver cups to place the fries in, copying many other restaurants. Pedestrian and unoriginal. So, the day I went, I ordered a burger, MEDIUM, received it BLOOD RED and RARE so I sent it back for a little more fire. The exact burger! Not a new one, which totally fine. Unfortunately, it came back charred and burned, completely inedible so I showed the server. She removed it. Next, I ordered the Golden Gate cake which used to be my favorite. Unfortunately now, their desserts are plated and left in a walk-in refrigerator until they're ready to be served. So, when my dessert finally arrived to the table, it was FREEZING COLD; the plate, the cake and the butterscotch swirls that go over the cake, itself. My server said the cake is supposed to be served "cold," which was not the case in the past. Who's the drunk who thinks COLD sponge cake is appetizing??? The presentation was and IS subpar. I had to scrape the butterscotch off the plate with extra effort in order to even take a bite. So, whoever has been managing the place and making decisions, that person's directives have been a losing combination. Maybe if the newer clientele has nothing to compare it to, they will like what is being served. But, I remember the days when quality and service mattered. Karl had an eye for everything and had his eye ON everything at all times. Obviously, those days are LONG gone. HORRIBLE. I'll never go back.

This is a little gem near Cathedral Park I hadn't visited before. It was very charming. The lunch menu had a satisfying assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The service was very friendly and seating was immediate. The food was unbelievable. It was a nice surprise for an otherwise ordinary day.
