From beginning to end we had a delightful dinner. The service was excellent. Our water was filled often. I had the ribs which were done perfectly and meaty! They came with corn bread(I usually don't like but this was delicious and warm.) Cole slaw and Mac and cheese, which were very good also. My husband had the Thursday night pork dinner special. That came with a large side salad, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and wonderful crusty bread. We both enjoyed ourselves very much! Well done - Fork in the Road!

I was in town for a concert with friends who are from the area and they suggested lunch at Fork in the Road. The house salad was so good. I could have eaten a mixing bowl of that salad. I’m typically not a salad kind of gal but I’m dreaming of making the 4 1/2 drive back to Wisconsin for another salad.

We found out about The Fork in the Road by searching for the famous apple pie baked in a bag at the Elegant Farm. We drove an hour and a half and were not disappointed! We had several fun bartenders who we nicknamed Kallie and the Elves.🎄 They served us several Spotted Cows as well as a few awesome Cranberry Spritzers. Deliciousness in a glass! The grilled Reuben was fantastic and the Sirloin bite’s appetizer with warmed blue cheese was out of this world! We highly recommend visiting The Fork in the Road and exploring Mukwonago WI, very well worth the trip.

Since my last reveiw of 7 years ago I thought an update was overdue. This restaurant continues to be a local favorite and always has a good crowd, the food has always been good and the service as well. The prices however are a little on the high side in my opinion, not outrageously expensive, but 36% more on average compared to similar food in other local establishments. Now they have added an HOH fee to all dine in customers (Heart of the Home), which goes to the kitchen staff according to the management. My question is why not just raise the price of the food to cover a living wage for your workers ? The think the answer is because the food prices are already higher than the local competiton. This restaurant is the oldest and most quaint in the village, that's why people go here. The atmosphere is charming. I give it 3 1/2 stars--better than average but it does not merit very good in my opinion.

We visit Wisconsin a couple times a year and ALWAYS go to the Friday fish fry at Fork in the Road. We went on 01/20/2023 and had a fantastic meal. Staff are very friendly and know that Friday is a night for folks who love their delicious fish. The fried beer-battered haddock is light, fluffy and delicious. It is accompanied by a fresh hot roll with butter and a potato of your choice. I bought an extra piece of fish and really didn't need it because the 9 oz. portion is so huge anyway. We would not miss a Friday night at Fork in the Road when we visit Mukwonago.

Food very good other than the French fries were cold. The HOH charge should be optional considering they sent out cold fries. I think tips maybe smaller due to extra charge for HOH. Considering the price of the food the own should pay the appropriate wage to the kitchen staff

been here a few times and it's been great each time. Most recently, we went at 6pm and waited about 40 minutes for a table. It is worth the wait! Our server, Mary Kate, was kind and brought refills for us without asking. She even put the name of our meal and the date on our to-go boxes. They are known for the Mac and cheese, and for good reason. I would highly recommend this spot!

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Wait was 90 minutes on a Saturday night. We were able to put in our name and then they texted us when our table was ready. Menu has a great variety. I had the sesame chicken salad. It was delicious. My daughter had the steak sandwich. I had a bite and it was one of the best that I’ve had. My son had the Fork Pork. I had a bite of that one, too. Delicious. My husband enjoyed his Rochester burger. Only disappointment were the sides. The Mac n Cheese tasted like Kraft Mac n cheese with 10 times the cheese packets. My teens did not like it. Fries were just ok, too. Wished they would have had the soup instead. Love all the gluten-free choices.

Started with yummy soup with portabella mushroom, sun dried tomato, spinach and gnocchi, followed by the perch fish fry here Friday evening. Food and service were all great. Plan ahead or be prepared for a wait during popular times but it's worth it.

Cheese curds are a Wisconsin staple and they make some great ones here. I had the pepper burger and it was juicy and delicious. I had the appleslaw and loved it Sitting on their back patio with family was a great place to visit. The staff was efficient and friendly and kept our coffee and water filled.

They have decent food. Not too many options in MUK. Thats the only reason we still get food there. Service is lacking. Ordering takeout is never an easy conversation. Expect to wait when picking it up also. Rarely has it been packaged and ready.

We had a great lunch here today! The Bloody Mary was ginormous, served in a 2 c measuring cup with loads of relishes. I would describe the menu as kicked-up bar food with cheffy touches. The Grec-Italian salad with house made dressing was tasty, put over the top with parm-crusted soft cooked eggs. Pulled pork seems to be a specialty of the house, the sandwich was nicely appointed with an apple slaw. The side of Mac and Cheese was yummy, will try as an entree next time. Very clean, tables well spaced, good compliance with safety protocols.

Surprisingly, the outpost fork in the road cafe has the best latte offered in the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa area. Delicious.
