3/16/25 UPDATE: Good City's response read in a very peculiar & impersonal manner, so I put it into several online "AI checkers" (as well as my original post for a reference point). I am disappointed to say 100% of their response to my concern was AI-generated. See attached for evidence.
This is very disrespectful to a homegrown customer base, and I am shocked the new management team would handle customer opinions - when delivered respectfully & intended to improve the organization, as mine was - with such contempt.
The Explorium Hospitality Group has now shown twice they prioritize profits over customer experiences: first with providing substandard food (& no concrete resolution), and now foregoing any attempt at basic customer relations to rectify an unhappy patron.
Changed rating from 2/5 to 1/5 stars.
ORIGINAL POST:
This grilled chicken sandwich + curry fries was ~$22 with tax, tip and a 3% "restaurant fee."
As you can tell by the photos, it was mostly lettuce, tomatoes & bun – and the sliver of chicken wasn’t special in terms of flavor or quality. I expected much more, both in terms of quality and quantity of chicken.
The fries are great, and the staff is wonderful and welcoming as always! But it feels like management (now owned by Explorium Hospitality Group, who has 5 other locations) is more focused on cost-cutting and maximizing profits than delivering a satisfying meal.
Came here for dinner and was treated to a Friday fish fry. If you like a thicker breaded fish fry this is the spot. My partner got the chili with all the toppings and gave it a 4.4 out of 5. Our friend had a spicy chicken sandwich and had nothing but good things to say. They offer a wide range of beers/flights to appease whatever your taste buds desire.
Food was very good. Was not impressed with the rest. First they seat 5 people with 2 menus. Second they tell us you have to scan the QRcode and order through the app. Third they put one craft of water one the table. The app defaults to leaving a 22% tip and you don't even have wait staff. They deliver the food and drinks and we never saw anyone again. No one came to see if we needed more water or refill on sodas. They charge 4 dollars for a coke that is 1/2 ice. Then I look at my receipt and there is a Restaurant fee REALLY. The seating is not at all handicap freindly. It's basically lots of picnic tables with long benches. Thank goodness I am not handicapped just old.
Great beers on tap!
Terrible nachos, good beer, great bartender.
Truly bad nachos.
This was bad.. the large soft pretzel was great. I ordered a pulled pork hash, and the pulled pork was highly sweet. It was not good. The toast it came with was good. I ordered a side of bacon for 3.50.. for 2 pieces. My son had some boneless wings, and he said they tasted like they were something you can get from the frozen section of the grocery store. They also charge a "restaurant fee" of 3%. I could've overlooked that if the food was good. First time I've left most of a meal behind..
Terrible! I ordered delivery and the fries were stale and cold. The burger was a thin frozen patty with zero flavor. There was way more bun than meat. I live 3 blocks away, so this was not a distance issue. They used to be decent a few years back!
Excellent, flavorful beers in a friendly and chill atmosphere. Free parking in a lot put back and there’s a roof deck and a beer hall too apart from the big bar area. Flights consist of four very generous pours and the beer list has a significant variety of lighter beers (lagers, pilsners, wheat) and IPAs. If you’re here in late summer and fall, be sure to try their Oktoberfest!
Rooftop bar with an awesome selection of brews? Say no more. Place rocked!
Stout Brownie Delight😎

Excellent customer service and amazing employees
Good fresh beer made on site. Great food. Get a Home lager.
This is just in regards to the food.
Got the bacon burger and the grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken sandwich was actually pretty good, just dry. The buns on both of them were super dry and crumbled when you touched them.
I got the fries with the sandwich and coleslaw with the burger. The coleslaw was so beyond dry. It was just lettuce and cabbage. It wasn’t good. The fries were good and crispy. Some pretty solid fries.
The burger was not good. None of the flavors worked together and again, beyond dry. The bun being so gross really ruined it too. It was just overall so unpleasant.
The servers were all so kind though, atmosphere was good. Didn’t get any drinks so I can’t attest to them, but if you’re going to be spending this much on food go elsewhere.
The falafel wrap was wonderful and filling. I recommend the curry fried and curry popcorn. Wonderful flavor seasoning.
Food was enjoyable! Great selection and quality; above most brewery kitchens.Beer selection was solid. Service was friendly and helpful!
