Came across this distillery after visiting the Harley Davidson museum and what a great find. Great tasting room/bar with a small on site eatery and shop. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and keen to show off the range of awesome spirits distilled here. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.
I went to Great Lakes Distillery for the first time last night and asked the bartender for a recommendation as there were 2 drinks I was trying to decide between and was told to “just go with whatever you feel like” and when I said that’s not helpful he just stared at me. As a bartender at an establishment that produces their own liquor, you should probably be able to promote your products and provide recommendations. Needless to say I will not be returning.
Great tour, great local products, and wonderful staff! Highly recommended!
Visiting Chicago from United Kingdom and took the train to Milwaukee for some sightseeing booked the tour and wasnt disappointed great place for a drink really friendly booked Distillery and tasting tour amazing experience my son and I were the only 2 on the 4pm tour but Ian gave a professional tour very informative and funny then up to bar for tasting if we had not got a train to catch would have been there till closing if your ever in area definitely worth a visit Thanks Ian
Great people and friendly staff!
Cool little distillery in Wisconsin. The drinks are strong and fairly priced. Bartenders are cool as hell and the tour is worth it. Definitely a place to visit and have a couple.
Place was easy to find, parking was straightforward and free which was very nice. We did a 2pm tour on a weekday, and it started right on time. Our tour guide was fine, he was a bartender and fairly new to the company, and it was clear that he didn't have more than superficial knowledge of the distillation/making process. He was able to get through his script and describe the tastes/flavors of the samples well, but wasn't able to answer most questions our group had about the process. Overall, still good value for the price, but not the best tour in the city.
Cocktails were fine, definitely not bad but not amazing. Food was good but also nothing crazy. Space was nice, not too loud which I appreciate.
Did the tour and Ian was our guide He was fantastic!! The food was also wonderful! We will go back!
Always a pleasant time. Hand crafted cocktails, excellent spirits.
Amazing service. Everyone was so nice. Great selections and they make their own products. Food was a little pricy but delicious and made sense with the drinks. Bartender and other guests were very helpful. Will definitely return.

We stopped into GLD the other night and Eric took great care of us! DH had the Old Rations- perfectly bourbon and orange with just the right amount of bitters. He also had one of their frozen concoctions, which was a hurricane. I am sober and was so excited to see the extensive options for fun-NA cocktails!!! Eric had a great suggestion for me and made a tasty gimlet! GLD gets it right-atmosphere and music was fun, lots of great drink options and employees who welcome you into the family! PS: don’t sleep on Fox Den’s amazing burgers.
Drinks were very boozy but good. Fun place to stop & get a beverage with friends.
The tour was super fun, and Ian was a great tour guide. He was super engaging and very knowledge about the distilling process and the local history of the area. The testing afterwards was fun and all the samples tasted delicious.
Had a great tour and some awesome tastes. The history was really interesting
-loved the vibe of the bar/tasting room. Friendly bar tender. Found a bourbon I liked to take home. Old fashioned was great also.
