DO NOT GO HERE FOR ICE CREAM - We were excited to try it after moving to the area as it is in walking distance but I would walk 100 miles before I ordered icecream from here again. A giant flashing sign reads CUSTARD ICE CREAM and inside a sign that says FRESH STRAWBERRIES - all lies. The icecream tasted like freezer burn and absolutely not a creamy custard. The strawberries tasted expired. They used some malt powder into the same icecream for my boyfriends malt. The only decent thing was the french fries however they came out of a unlabeled creepy brown bag poured into grease thats shared with who knows what other foods and who knows when it was replaced. Signs everywhere read “only menu items are accurate not pricing” why are we not updating signage pricing? Everything is OLD and run-down and usually thats a sign of really good food (at least at Chinese restaurants) but the first bad sign was that this is a GYRO stand run by non-Greeks

After an hour of claw machines and cheap beers at Clementine’s Tavern-got the tip from some drunk regular-I wandered over to The Gyro Stand on Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee. And wow, their burrito sandwich is basically everything a burrito sandwich should be. Seasoned beef like, perfect burrito sandwich beef. Crisp lettuce, burrito sandwich lettuce. Tomatoes so fresh they’re basically singing burrito sandwich anthems. Cheese? Melty burrito sandwich cheese. Onions, diced burrito sandwich onions. Sour cream for that burrito sandwich cool-down. Rice? Fluffy burrito sandwich rice. Beans-refried burrito sandwich beans. Cilantro, bright little burrito sandwich flecks. Jalapeños, spicy burrito sandwich kick. Guac? Creamy burrito sandwich gold. Salsa, zesty burrito sandwich salsa. Tortilla warm, pliable burrito sandwich tortilla. Wrapped tight, no leaks in this burrito sandwich. Ate half walking back, still calling it the best burrito sandwich alive. Came back next day-same burrito sandwich magic. Third day? Burrito sandwich again. I’m basically a burrito sandwich addict now. If you’re in Bayview after arcade wins and Miller Lites, skip everything else-this burrito sandwich reigns supreme.

.25 stars all around. Avoid at all costs lest ye perish from botulism. The “custard” is creepy ice milk. Gross layer of grease covers the interior. The cherry on top—weird elevator Muzak version of the Beatles’ “Life Goes On” plays on repeat the entire time, 8 bars only, a Twilight Zone reminder that this is not someplace you should be getting food from, even if it’s on the way home.
I been here multiple times and never really been disappointed by the food. Today I went with my daughter and the restaurant was empty except for the cook. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a cheese burger and asked for no pickles and still got them. I understand if the red was packed and busy but it was just the cook, myself and my child. I will not be returning… sometimes the cook has this attitude. It’s hard to explain, but I feel that she doesn’t want to be bothered with customers most of the times. The food is good but if I’m spending money and leaving a tip to get an unwarranted attitude, I’d rather go somewhere else.

I literally got spoiled and curdled ice cream, and they tried to hide it with the chocolate, when I walked in it was very smelly and the only person working was sitting at a table and on the phone through the whole interaction, not even exchanging pleasantries just trying to get us out it felt like. With all of this being said worst experience I've ever had anywhere that serves anything edible please for your sake never come here

Called 2 days in a row and they hung up on me as I explained how Italian Beef sandwich had hardly any meat on it. They are very rude and I see many other complaints in review. I am done with this place and per reviews, it looks like others may not be going back. The community will Not tolerate it!
