If you’re reading this, make the reservation. Easily a 10/10 meal. We started with the burrata, their specialty. It was, in a word, divine. The bread was perfectly toasted. The salad underneath the burrata changes seasonally, and the apricot, honey, and truffle oil elevated it beyond expectation. I could have had another order of this for my entrée and been set. My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unpretentious but perfectly executed. The potatoes and broccolini came to life with the lemon caper sauce. My husband had the mac n’ cheese with short rib. The creamy mac and tender meat don’t compete in flavor — they’re in a loving, happy marriage. This is what restaurant BBQ mac should be. I’m not usually a crème brûlée person, or at least, I thought I wasn’t. I let my husband pick the dessert, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. This is the experience you want when you decide you’re ordering a dessert. The service was top-notch. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were all delightful. Heirloom MKE delivered one of my favorite dinners to date.
Heirloom has to be one of the most slept on restaurants in Milwaukee and one I cannot recommend enough. We always love the different specials the offer along with the staple items we always find ourselves ordering when we go. The staff are always friendly and the food has been incredible every time we have gone. This along with a few other local places have been on our short list for date nights and bringing guests to when they are in town. Cannot recommend it enough!
Had the burger last night in Shorewood. It was fantastic. The crowds were big and the wait wasn't very long. Super fresh and so much flavor. Thanks for adding to this event!
Food is pretty good, but portions are small, it felt a little overpriced, and my steak was overcooked. We also felt disappointed with service as they made it uncomfortable for us to get a table and order, even though we had a reservation and it was completely empty in the restaurant. Wanted to love it, really like that they have locally sourced food, but we didn’t feel like we were treated well by the staff and left feeling disappointed overall.

We came with a party of 10 and 3 were children. We did have a reservation and they were able to give us 2 high chairs. We tried many dishes and everything was presented beautifully and was delicious. I mean every single thing we tried was amazing! Our server was wonderful. We had such a great experience!
The braised short rib & bahn mi were wonderful! Our serve, Asima, was a true gem! Will definitely be back!!

Super fresh and delicious food! Absolutely loved the tomato, garlic, cheese and caper crostini. The burrata was to die for! Had the shrimp over polenta and loved the unique flavors. Definitely try the spicy tequila cocktail!

The hot dipped sandwich was pretty bland, but the cheese curds were amazing, and the bavette steak was pretty good.

Very nice atmosphere with many “specialty” diet option. Ie. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, nut free. Our waitress, Lauren, was super pleasant and attentive! We were celebrating my daughter with her bachelorette party and had a wonderful time! From their drinks to appetizers to the main entrees and finally dessert, everything was exceptional! We had 7 people in our party so we were able to try many of the menu options, everyone loved all of the choices! Recommend the crab cake and burrata for appetizers, Banh Mi, pan seared halibut, rosemary shrimp special, butternut squash dinner for dinner and of course the flourless cake to finish it off! Highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant, thank you for making our night so special!

We gave heirloom a try last night after hearing good reviews about it. Unfortunately, we were mostly disappointed. This restaurant has very little ambiance and is extremely loud. Our server was young and inexperienced and we are often looking for him to get refills on wine and water etc. He forgot about a wine refill after we placed the order with him 5 minutes earlier as well.
When the food came, one of the dishes was a shrimp polenta dish in which the polenta was cold and we had to order a side order of hot polenta. The halibut and shrimp dishes were basically a mish-wash of spices and flavors, which made very little sense to us. The halibut was overcooked as well.
Concerning wines and alcoholic drinks, the list for cocktails was okay, the wine list was relatively sparse and limited.
All in all heirloom was a disappointment. But don't think we'll be traveling back
Came here for my first time recently and all I can say is WOW! The food, the drinks and staff amazing. The food was delicious and just perfection!! The cocktails were so good. The staff was so friendly and welcoming!! 10/10

Heirloom has quickly become one of our favorite spots for dinner in Milwaukee. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the food is great. Absolutely cannot beat their appetizers( our favorite has been the hand stretched burrata with strawberries, lemon poppyseed vinaigrette and balsamic). Their entrees are top tier and it’s refreshing knowing that you can’t really make a “bad” choice and there is a ton of variety.
Heirloom deserves all the hype.
