Love the fried chicken, wayyyy better than Wongs Wok as well as the pork fried rice! Don't listen to the haters, the meat is fresh and excellent! I just found this place and love the food and service!
The exterior is so unassuming, boasting of red glass tiles and no windows. However, when you step inside, you are transported into a Cantonese inspired eatery. The ceiling tile was nicely arranged, and the seating and decor ties everything together beautifully. I noticed that each table was extendable in some way which I thought was really cool. I’m sure the functionality makes for great transitions when serving large parties.
As we sat down, we were greeted by two hosts, who provided wonderful service throughout our dinner. The young lady turned the channel to a Disney movie for our little ones, which really helped to curve their anxiousness while waiting.
I ordered the General Tso’s dinner which I finished in the restaurant, my mom and the littles ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, cabbage, crab Rangoon and dumplings. The kids and I enjoyed our food, my mom felt more meh about the flavor.
Personally, I’ll go back. They stated they’re working on their liquor license so soon cocktails will be added to the menu which is an added bonus for a night out.
I gave 4 stars because the new owner is really nice and is trying hard to figure it out. It is nowhere near what it once was but I do think the new ownership has a bright future. Please give him a chance
All 3 chicken entrees were the same veggies and sauce. Rangoon was the worst I’ve had. Food was bland and not like the menu described.
Great food great service
The new owner is still working on making everything better.
Love this place 😍
Friday Lunch Date with the Mommio.
Huis Cantonese is okay. Nothing excells and nothing is horrid. I would recommend that the outside sign be repaired and the help should not be loudly watching videos on her cell phone in speaker mode.

My first time ordering for takeout. The chopsuey only had celery no snow peas or mini Corn's,the beef fried rice tasted burned with 4 pieces of beef, the sweet sour chicken was good the sauce was very thin but the veggies in it was good and the egg rolls tasted very old☹️
Waiting to pay I noticed that the fake flowers were very dirty and the restaurant was empty for a Friday night one can of soda is $2.25 I had to stop at the gas station for drinks. I will not be returning here to eat or call for takeout. Disappointed ?
I pray I don't get sick

Always good food and friendly service. This is our favorite take-out spot.

No buffet anymore. Place mostly empty at lunch. Skimpy portions, and if you order dinner, you still will get a lunch portion.

My husband and I used to go here every Friday, and it's our favorite restaurant in Tosa. We've since moved, and Hui's is what we miss the most! Great food, wonderful people. After becoming regulars here, we ended up always being recognized by name, and that just added to how welcoming the place feels. I have never gone to a specific restaurant every week and not gotten tired of it, but every single Friday, I always looked forward to dinner. Dining in or ordering takeout, Hui's is the best place to go for amazing service and wonderful Chinese food!

Stopped in tonight for the first time to try Hui's. Many times, I have driven past and never stopped in. When you first enter the doors, you can tell that this place has been here for many years. Everything was neat and clean and well decorated. We were greeted by our server and taken to our table. After a short conversation with her, we came to find out that this place had been here for over 50 years, and our server has been there for 30 of those years. We got the menu that had hand written adjustments on it (to me, that has a kind of charm). We selected the crab Rangoon and the beef with fresh ginger and scalions. This dish reminded me of classic Chinese food, one that has been unfortunately changed over time. But not here, you could tell the food was prepared the old ways. Lots of flavor, tender meat and fresh vegetables, simple but delicious. I would recommend this place and I will return to try other dishes. I recommend giving places like this a try because unfortunately one day they might all be gone.
I myself own and run a food related business and have been in the industry for almost 20 years. I know how hard it is and how easy it is for others to quickly try to tear down years of work you put into it. I say this because a 1 star review holds a lot of weight and outweighs so many good 4-5 star reviews. Please remember that as you review others.
