I recently dined at Hungry Sumo in Milwaukee, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best sushi spots in the area! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and Japanese dishes. Overall, Hungry Sumo exceeded my expectations. If you’re in Milwaukee and craving sushi, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing offerings!

Nice place for ramen - ate in on a weekday night and got the tonkatsu (a ton of pork belly included) and a maki roll. Everything was good - server attentive even as it started getting busy. Spicy tuna roll had extra mayo on it which I wasn’t expecting. The vibe is good and place was popular. Would return to try their sashimi and a more traditional roll.

I absolutely love this restaurant, I’ve been going here to eat since I was 7 (when it opened) the owners are incredibly sweet and amazing along with the staff who are also super friendly. On the terms of the actual food, you can’t go wrong. Genuinely everything on the menu is exquisite. The very crunchy roll is one of their classics that I’ve been ordering for ages, it’s a deep fried creamy roll and it’s absolutely perfect. Their sushi plates are decadent and have beautiful presentation. I highly recommend the pork buns, and tonkotsu ramen. Additionally, over the years as I’ve watched this place grow they are very cultured, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and clean, I love all their decorations and highly recommend going!! I hope this place stays open forever 💕
