I has the Tuna Poke - the seaweed base was very tasty, the avocado was ripe, and the tuna was good. The Gyoza was great! A friend had the TonKatsu and practically liked his plate clean.
Our weight twist was really attentive. The food was excellent. This is my first visit there so I was pleasantly surprised.
We had a completely wonderful experience at Kanpai. We called to let them know we were running a bit late and the staff person was understanding and accommodating. We were greeted cheerily, seated promptly in a great booth, had delicious food and drink, and excellent, friendly service. Could not have had a better time and we will absolutely be back!
Delicious food with gluten free options! Our server Lily did a wonderful job!

Food was very good, but noodle dishes were on the small side. We finished our meals and could have eaten more. Sushi was very good and tasted fresh.
One of the better sushi restaurants in Milwaukee. Food is consistently good. Service can sometimes be slow, but they seem short staffed when that has been the case. Having worked in the service industry when I was younger I know it's not easy on the staff who are working when that is the case, as frustrating as it can be as the customer.

Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu. My favorite dish was no longer available snd her suggestion was perfect! All of our meals were very tasty and plentiful. ❤️
Pretty good, currently my top sushi spot, but I am currently on the look out for better locations. It is very expensive but if you want good sushi this is a safe choice for sure.
Been here a few times and it's a shame the service can be so poor because the food is really good.

Absolutely amazing sushi, the Chef is welcoming and actually talked to us about our meal. Sushi is fresh sauces are vibrant and parking was easy to find. Wholeheartedly recommend and would go again. Thanks for an amazing date night. Ps the California dragon was my favorite roll.
Wenzt here to celebrate a birthday. Incredible sushi complete with ambiance and great service. I will definitely go back.. and soon!! Highly recommend!
Food was ok. Not the best and not the worst. The tuna was kind of bland tasting. They HAVE to clean their ceiling. I wasn't looking for negative things about the place, but the ceilings are VERY dirty, almost looks like mold up there. Waitress was good though.
Holds a place as one of my favorite sushi places in Wisconsin! Love bringing people here.
The best sushi to experience in MKE. Operated by what feels like a small family with incredibly pleasant staff and timely service.
