After years of being passed from one under-capitalized owner to another, Koppa’s is under new management who have invested in the property and inventory, revamped the store, filled shelves, upgraded operations, and are actively asking customers about their needs and what they would like to see in the store.

Koppa’s has always been so important to our neighborhood and it was sad to see it slowly turning into a liquor store. I work next door and have always lived super close so I go there all the time! I’m so happy that since the new ownership they are fully stocked again! Every shelf filled! I buy so much stuff from there daily again now that I can! It’s so so nice to have a little grocery again. I can’t say how happy I am enough! It’s great! Good job Koppas! The be neighborhood loves you!

From the cover of Milwaukee magazine in 2009 to barren shelves, no receipts, overcharges at the register by 2015. And 10yrs of same. A shadow of the bodega it once was.

Hardly any meat on sandwiches.

Best place to get a sandwich that is affordable and tasty. Huge variety made to order.

Only buy sandwiches if Mike is working, his are delicious. The new employee is really bad. Frequently uses wrong bread type, doesn't put everything that is supposed to be on the sandwich, doesn't heat the sandwiches up enough for the cheese to melt, and just does weird things like shredding up slices of cheese to sprink in the sandwich. She really needs more training.
Also, the male cashier will try to not give you a punch for each sandwich you buy on their loyalty card.

They stock virtually nothing in the store and this place has become a shell of what it used to be. Such a shame.

Fantastic deli with excellent sandwiches - the rest of the place has gone down hill. It's not much of a grocery anymore. But, they have a large beer and booze section now. I hadn't been there in 25 years, I'm happy to still have it

I started going to Koppa's again because of Mike in the deli. He bakes the best and freshest chocolate cookies in town! He also bakes pies and they sell whole or by the slice now through Christmas. I tried the pumpkin & it was good & fresh.Good job Mike!!

Great value for a quick deli lunch. This kind of place is what makes the east side such a gem. Support local and shop fulbeli.
