Our visit to La Dama was deeply disappointing and disturbing, despite the restaurant looking quite busy. We were initially told tables were available, yet we faced an excessively long wait to be seated. After our order was placed, it was neglected for over 40 minutes without any updates from the staff. Notably, our waiter seemed to deliberately avoid our table, and when we finally got his attention, he responded almost with a scream. This alarming behavior made us feel concerned. Compelled by the poor service, we left for La Merenda, where the contrast in customer care was striking. I was very disappointed by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the staff at La Dama; choosing it over La merenda was clearly a mistake.***response to owner’s recent comment***Let's set the record straight—I have the reservation confirmation, and I’m happy to help you locate it in your system. We chose an indoor table when asked, yet somehow ended up with the complete opposite. How does that happen?40 minutes of being invisible in your restaurant, then getting yelling and an “it is what it is" brush-off-that’s not service, that’s a breakdown in hospitality. If this is how things are run, I’m genuinely worried about where you’re headed.Drop the excuses and start tightening up your act. Better customer service and quicker serving times should be on your to-do list, not overbooking and then shouting down your guests. Let's remember, no one’s coming in to be treated poorly.Hoping for a real change here, not just words.

I love this place. The service is excellent, and the food is always amazing. I love the Salmon Encrutado, as well as the Carne Asada. You can also never go wrong with what I consider to be the best Tacos I've ever had. I always look forward to dining there.

I had the worst experience at this place. I was out with my girlfriends, firstly the waiter said he would get us a table and there was one available right where we were standing and it wasn’t reserved yet he let us wait and gave that table to the group that came after us and then took us to sit at an uncleaned table outside. No one came to take our order for another 15 minutes after when someone came we were waiting for our food for about 40 minutes that’s when our server said to us in the most rude tone imaginable “ you know what its a small kitchen, so you gotta keep waiting “. when we were trying to make face contact with the server he just ignored us throughout.

Adding insult to injury, the waiter's rude demeanor and disrespectful tone made the situation even worse. Outstanding, creative, authentic Mexican cuisine. This is on par with the best in Houston. They pack a lot in a cozy space. The oysters were luscious. The tacos were creative with duck, fish, steak and mushroom options. There was a vegetarian appetizer on a crispy taco that was amazing. It had a chili oil drizzle and roasted peanut squash and mushrooms and beans and cheese. That was outstanding. The desserts were creative with sweet corn ice cream paired with a blueberry cobbler pie. The whole meal was sensational. This has got to be the best in the Midwest.

This place is amazing. Starts with a vibrant and well informed staff. The food is a great blend of flavor and quality. Feel free to order anything on the menu with confidence. I can't recommend the charro beans enough, they are the best my wife and I have ever had. I just hope none of my Hispanic friends find out I paid $24 for 3 tacos. All jokes aside this is the place to go for great service, food/drinks and atmosphere!

Loved La Dama! such a unique little restaurant in Walker's Point bursting with personality and flavor!! Their menu is well crafted and all the food has such unique flavor combinations. I was very impressed with the drinks, staff, food, and atmosphere. Will be back!
