Walking in this place at 5..just rude..called my woman a dude..and told me that I'm to dark to eat here. So I did what any sensible human would do..I left to look for food..I heard good things about this place..but then again the people I heard it from was that dark either...poor

Their advertising made me come in the door, their pricing and food will make me come back. Fast food ain't what it use to be, Wendy's talking about surge pricing, we already paying more for less and getting worse service. Meanwhile they got plates 10 dollars, and walk through their door and feel like you just walked into a family kitchen.

I had the grilled chicken and fries! The chicken was delicious and very flavorful , cooked to perfection! I also had the plantains. They were so fresh and crunchy, I like to eat mine with honey but they provide a sauce for them. The customer service was awesome. They show their appreciation for their customers and I love that the most!! Hot to order and fast service.

I had been looking for Puerto Rican rice for a long time, I found some at El Rey's grocery store but it was dry. A coworker of mine mentioned to me about to Playa Café and told me I needed to try it. First off the visual was completely different I had never seen Puerto Rican rice looks so delicious if you go to El Rey grocery store to get some and you go over to the Playa Café you'll understand. Secondly the food is so amazing It's made hot and fresh right in front of you everything from the garlic bread to the main course was absolutely Heavenly. I had never heard of this place and I felt like it's a hidden gem in the city. This restaurant comes highly recommended by me, wish I could give it an extra 3 stars.
